My first un-oneshotty story. As you can tell, Genma/Sakura is definitely a passionate obsession of mine. I'm not really sure how it happened. I guess when I finally got sick of KakaSaku cliches, I thought, "Oh, just stick her with Genma!" being completely unserious. Then, I thought about it, and it made (twisted) sense! So, now I'm in love with the pairing and I enjoy writing situations involving it. I really can't stand when Kakashi or Sasuke died and Sakura is using Genma as vent. I much better like the following situation. Tada! Read and review, please! I would really love to know about other GenSaku fans! Thank you:)
Naruto belongs to Kishimoto.
Sakura drooped down in her chair. A long battle had finally ended. It was bloody and tiring, the young woman thought she might lose her mind. At long last, though, she finished her piles of paperwork.
A little nap wouldn't hurt, right? The medic nin's head rested on her folded arms. Not soon after there was a knock at the door.
"Agh, it's open. Come in." Sakura managed to call out.
"Uhm, Haruno-san, you have a patient waiting." Her secretary crept into the doorway. "Are you done with your paperwork?" She giggled at her exhausted colleague.
"A patient? But Misao, I don't have any patients until Thur...Crap." I totally forgot to meet Naruto and Kakashi-sempai at the pub!
'Good job, dufus!' Inner Sakura scolded, waving a fist in the air.
"Okay, Haruno-san, he's in the examiner's room now. Try not to make him wait too long, he's a cutie!" Misao winked and left for her desk.
"Damn, I'm not exactly presentable right now." Sakura sighed pointing out her disarrayed pink hair and lack of make-up. She seriously thought it was still Monday. Quickly fastening her hair back and swiping on some mascara she bustled out the door.
'I wonder who it is...?' The kunoichi wondered nearing the examiner's room.
'Who cares? Misao said he's cute!' Inner Sakura shrieked.
'I don't care if he's cute or not, it honestly doesn't matter.' She sighed and opened the door.
"Hello Mister..." She looked down at her clipboard, "Shiranui. How are you today?" Her smile was blinding, beautiful, and faker than a Barbie doll.
"I'm doing wonderful Nurse, but I have a problem." He flashed a smile at her.
"And what would that be?" She said in a null, distant tone taking out her stethoscope from a drawer. Her hands gestured for him to sit up on a table.
"Well, it seems you aren't wearing your name tag. What is your name, beautiful?" Genma said bobbing a tongue compressor up and down in his mouth.
"Hm. Sakura Haruno, chief medic nin. And not interested."
He eyed her in shock as she sped through the routine check up.
"Miss Sakura, would you like to get a drink with me later?"
"I'm sorry Mr. Shiranui, but…"
"How long has it been since you went out with a man?"
"That is none of your business!"
"I'm not asking you to marry me; I just want to get to know you better. To be completely honest, I'm tired of dating mindless women for nothing but sex. You're different, you know. I can tell you're special and I don't want to let this chance pass me by. So, please Sakura?"
She sighed and scribbled an address down on a scrap piece of paper. "Pick me up at eight. I don't want to drink on an empty stomach so let's get ramen first, alright?"
"Sounds perfect. Oh, and Sakura, call me Genma." He smiled softly.
"I'll see you later, then. Bye Genma."
"Goodbye, gorgeous." Genma winked and walked out the door.
'What did I just get myself into?' The kunoichi thought smacking her forehead with her hand.
