Hello. This is just a little story about Simon, Dave and Jeanette. Enjoy. :-D
Simon POV
There I was sitting on my bed doing homework. I was doing English. Our homework was that we had right about a key person in our life. What I saying is some one who's really special. I was either going to Dave or my brothers. Then all of a sudden I though of Jeanette. I don't know why but now I want to do this assignment about her. Just then I hear someone knock on my door. I was pretty sure it was Alvin. He keeps bugging me how he wants me to come outside and play soccer. The only reason for that is so he can kick my butt.
"GO AWAY ALVIN!" I yelled. "FOR THE LAST TIME I DON'T WANT TO PLAY SOCCER!"
"Simon?" I heard a voice. "It's me Dave…"
My face turned red. I just yelled at my own dad thinking it was Alvin. I was just glade Dave wasn't able to see me at that moment. Dave slightly opened the door and looked inside.
"Hey Simon, have you seen Alvin?" He asked me.
"He's outside in the front yard playing soccer with Theo." I said.
Dave looked down at all the papers and books on my bed. Sure I was only in the 5th grade but, I am taking a lot of AP classes.
"So what are you writing about Simon?" Dave asked me.
"A key person in my life. I'm thinking about doing Jeanette." I replied.
I never really talked about my crush on Jeanette unless it was with Dave. I knew Dave could keep a secret. This is why I talked to him so much about Jeanette.
"Really?" Dave replied "Are you going to read it to her?"
"N-n-n-no… I c-couldn't. I mean what if she didn't like me the same way I like her? I'd be so embarrassed." I said to Dave.
"I don't get Simon."
"Well, you see, girls are like aliens, to me. I'm not really a ladies man, unlike Alvin. Besides I don't think any girl in my school even likes me." I said with a sigh.
"Oh come on Simon, I'm sure that's not true."
"It's a hyperbole, Dave. I was execrating. I didn't mean what I said."
Dave chuckled at me. I didn't know why. I mean what's funny about girls not liking you? Not that I want a girl to like me or anything, it just would be nice to be popular for once. Alvin gets all the girls, and Theodore, he has a lot of friends because he's so nice. But, I'm just me, plain, boring, duel Simon. I'm not on any sports teams, and I don't help with any kind of community services. I'm at the library, studying, while my brothers are doing their thing.
"I know Simon; anyway I guess I get what you're saying." Dave patted me on the head.
"Dave, have you ever wanted to change your personality for a girl, or is that just some crazy thing I want to do?"
"I think everyone's wanted to change for a certain person."
"Yah, I guess your right, Dave. Anyway I've got to get finished with my paper." I said to Dave.
"Okay, I'll leave that to you then, Simon."
After about 30 minutes of working, I finished my paper. It was pretty good, if I do say so myself. Here's what I wrote.
She's great in every way. I couldn't ever live without her. She's their for me when I down, and she here to laugh with me when I'm happy. She's calm, quite, gentle and one of a kind. One of the most understanding girls I know. Her eye's shimmer in the sun. This person might not be to most popular, but she's one in a million. She's simple and never tries to so something she doesn't want to do. She's was just Jeanette.
I read it out loud. I was proud of what I had written.
Alvin's POV
I guess Simon didn't know I was listening. I had no idea my brother liked Jeanette so much. Just Jeanette. I like that ending. But get this; I now have another reason to tease Simon about Jeanette.
Simon's POV
I re-read my paper over and over. I could help it. It was true. She was just Jeanette.
Thanks for reading. R&R.
