A little one-shot to CSI:Cyber with the pairing Elijah x Avery. This is for .Z~ I hope you like it :3

"I'm the new agent Avery Ryan."

Elijah Mundo looked at the woman in front of him. Long blonde hair, sparkling in the sunshine, framed her beautiful face.

"It's nice to meet you, Agent Mundo."

Her voice sounded wonderful and Elijah tried to focus on the conversation instead of just staring at the woman in front of him.

"It's nice to meet you, too. You can call me Elijah...," the agent answered, paused and then continued: "... if you want to."

Avery smiled and Elijah felt his heart beating. He returned the smile.

"Well then, Elijah, please call me Avery."

"Alright, Avery. So... why do you join the team?"

Avery's smile faded and Elijah felt bad. Did he say something wrong?

"A hacker stole the files of my patients. You should now... actually I'm a psychologist. One of my patients got killed and I became an agent to catch the hacker who did this.", Avery explained. She acted tough and cool, but Elijah could see the hurt and despair in her eyes.

"I'm sorry.", he answered, but Avery just waved her hand.

"You don't have to be."

Elijah just wanted to say something to cheer the beautiful woman up.

"Okay. You wanna help me with the case we just got?", he tried to change the topic and Avery seemed relieved. Her smile came back.

"Of course."

So Avery helped. She met the team, talked to suspects and tried to fit in. But all the time she couldn't stop thinking about one thing: Agent Elijah Mundo! The handsome man really caught her mind... and her heart. She couldn't stop thinking about him. She loved how he respected everyone, how strong he was and especially that he hadn't asked about her past anymore.

Later that day Avery sat in her office room, when someone knocked at her door. She looked up and the door opened. And in the office stood someone she hadn't expected at all.

Elijah.

"Hey. What are you doing here?"

Elijah gave her a bottle of wine.

"A little present... from the team. I just wanted to ask if you want to join us. The team meets at a bar every monday evening."

"Ehm... no, thank you. I prefer to be alone." Avery looked to the ground. It was a lie... she didn't want to be alone, but she didn't want to visit the bar either. Elijah seemed to understand her and he asked:

"Can I help you?"

Avery just smiled.

"Of course, but shouldn't you meet the team?"

"Nope... I can miss it one time."

Avery chuckled as Elijah closed the door and kissed her cheek.
