Forgotten
Faye x Spike
Cowboy Bebop
First, it was time that let her slip, losing everyone she cared for and becoming a dark sleeping beauty. No prince came as the one who brought her to life turned out to be a false hero.
She made it in the strange new world catching bounties of evil criminals using her guns and her wits. Then the Cowboy Bebop with the all odd ball crew allowed her to stay first for a short trip before making it her home among the stars. Jet was the goofy older brother she may have had at one time which was funny due to his past being a cop. Serious, yet comforting at points of great need which due to some of the trouble everyone got into. Being in his forties ship care had kept him in great physical condition. She had learned that irony was in great surplus on the ship in many forms.
Edward came on board after she did from a small adventure on earth. Deep down she also enjoyed spending the time with the young hacker. She was a free spirit right down to her usually bare feet. Whenever she was needed she worked on the case as hard as anyone else. Ein had taken a liking to the red head often trailing her wherever she went. One day she had gotten a lead for her father on planet Earth only to leave a pin wheel as a farewell as well as her goofy cartoon grin painted on the deck.
I had made my way up in the red dragon syndicate looking for Julia. When I had come back to the bebop I found that she had been forgotten for the last time. Being a past hitman had left me with a lot of enemies when I left in a group that killed anyone trying to escape. During the moments before I would exact my revenge for Julia she had pointed her gun at me.
I didn't fire
I didn't hide
I just stood there
Ready to die
Her eyes told me she would not pull the trigger despite not telling me why. All the emotion locked away forgotten like her memories.
Going to battle with Vicious was one of the greatest fights I had, a swirling tango where one of us would live while the other dies. For all his skill with the sword he forgot the perk of the gun's range as the bullet went through him. Scratching through my clothes it only took a short back step from making the attack a deadly one into a cosmetic one. Getting back to the Bebop though had taken time though as walking down the stairs I felt the last wells of energy drain from me. It had taken a full day from that to even recover enough in the care of a friendly dragon who had wanted Vicious dead.
When I made it back on board something had thrown me back on to the cracked tile floor for a moment. Blood. The smell of it was in the air as I descended my way to Faye's door only to open and see the scene of her body slumped against the back corner with cloudy eyes. Blood splattered on the closest wall as the smell of slightly rotting flesh soon overpowered the smell of the red spatter. Various bottles of perfume only took away so much as they sat half empty in the various nook's and crannies.
Still I was forgotten
Not once but twice
Both out of fear
Alone again
Forgotten
