Disclaimer: No..I don't own Star Wars….Unfortunately. I do wish I did but the characters and other stuff belong solely to Mr. George Lucas.

'Promise me you'll train the boy…'

'Yes Master…'

'He is the chosen on….'

'What will happen to me now?'

'The council has granted me permission to train you….you will be a Jedi. I promise'

'Why do I feel your going to be the death of me?'

'Don't say that Master…You're the closest thing I have to a father.'

'Anakin…You must learn to be patient. Otherwise you'll get us both killed.'

'Yes Master…sorry.'

'Why do you talk to Artoo like that? He's not a human you know.'

'He can understand me Master…He knows what I'm talking about…I think you need to treat Arfour more like this.'

'But he's a droid Anakin.'

'I won't kill him. He's like my brother.'

'Twisted by the Dark Side, young Skywalker has become. The boy you trained, gone he is, consumed by Darth Vader.'

'He has become a great threat.'

'You're going to kill him aren't you?'

'YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE! YOU WERE SUPOSE TO DESTROY THE SITH, NOT JOIN THEM! IT WAS SAID YOU WOULD BRING BALANCE BACK TO THE FORCE, NOT LEAVE IT IN DARKNESS.'

'I hate you!'

'You were my brother Anakin. I loved you!'

'Save your strength Padmé…'

'There's good in him…I know…there still is.'

A man sat in the shadows, his hood covering his tear stained face. Looking up slowly, his blue-gray eyes scanned the sadden crowd. He watched sadly as the beautiful horse drawn carriage made its way through the street, pulling the coffin of Padmé Naberrie Amidala Skywalker, closely followed by her family, the Gungans, and the Queen. Turning slowly, he walked away.

This was Obi-Wan Kenobi. Jedi Master, former Council Member, one of the only survivors of "Order 66". He was a friend, a lover, a warrior, but mostly, he was a human. He could feel sadness like everyone else. And at this moment, he felt it more than he ever had. His best friend, his brother, his former apprentice, had gone to the Dark Side. He had betrayed everything he worked for. He went against the prophecy of the 'Chosen One' who would bring balance. But mostly, he had betrayed the one person who had loved him more than anyone, his wife. He had fought his friend and left him to die on the fiery planet of Mustafar. But he could still sense that he was alive. Turning to look over his shoulder, he watched as the funeral crowd broke apart, and the mourners headed back to their homes. "Goodbye Padmé." He whispered.

Getting into his starship he looked at Naboo one last time before heading off to his solitary life on Tatoonie. As he let the ship take of gently, he flew away from his past and into his future. "I promise I'll take care of Luke…." He muttered. "I promise he won't suffer the same fate as his father…." He added aloud, as he plugged in the co-ordinates for the planet he would now call home.

Authors Note: Loved it? Hated it? Whatever! But yeah, some of the flashbacks were tweaked and one, as you could probably tell, was totally made up! It ended up turning out really crappy, but it's an idea that came to me a few days ago. Hope you liked it! Review if you'd like…NO flaming though… Lemme know if you think this has any potential for a sequel. Much love to all the readers and 'May the force be with you.'
