You, you got me

Thinking it will be al-right

You, you told me

Come and take a look inside

You, believed me

Every single lie

But I, I failed you this time

-----

Ichigo let the tears fall freely when he made sure that no one was watching. How could he let people see him this way? It was pathetic. Uryu would probably laugh at him, the same way the quincy always did when Ichigo showed any sign of crying or breaking down.

"Oh, mom. Why did you have to die?" The pain was increasing.

-----

And it feels like tonight

I can't believe

I'm broken inside

Can't you see that,

There's nothing that I wanna do.

But try to make it up to you

And if feels like tonight.

Tonight.

-----

He knealt beside his mothers grave, slamming his fists into the cold dark ground. "I'm so sorry. It's all my fault your gone." He was crying out now. "I'm sorry, so sorry." He looked up at the letters etched in the grave and traced them with his fingertips, casting each edge into his memory. He would not forget them, he could never forget them.

-----

I was waiting

For the day you come around.

I was chasing

But nothing was all I found

From the moment

You came into my life

You, you showed me whats right

-----

The flowers that he had held were now clenched in his fists, his knuckles white. Tears streamed down his frost bitten cheeks. Voices screamed at him from everywhere, hissing angrily. "It's all your fault you mothers dead. Murderer..."

He covered his ears. "No!"

-----

I never felt like this before

Just when I leave I'm back for more

Nothing else seems to matter

In these ever changing days

Your the one thing that remains

I wish we'd stayed like this forever

"Ichigo?"

He looked up at the familiar voice, his eyes filled with amazement. His mother was standing only a few feet away, her voice filled with worry.

"Mother? Mother!" He screamed and ran towards her. He nearly slammed into her, her skin a sweet ivory scent. Her arms wrapped around him and pulled him close.

"How are you alive? I- I killed you." he stammered, more tears flowing down his cheeks.

"You killed me? My dear Ichigo, what nonsense is this?" She looked angry.

"I left you alone to die. It's my fault."

She smiled sweetly. "Ichigo it wasn't your fault I died. It was...," she paused for a brief time and starred at the dark clouds in thought before turning back to him. "Fate."

He pressed his lips together and looked up at her. "Fate?"

"Yes. And so was your finding Rukia and becoming a soul reaper. If not for my death, you wouldn't have done all that you did."

He pushed away. "I would have given everything away if you had lived."

"I know Ichigo. But like I said," she touched the side of his cheek, her hand turned cold as ice, before vanishing. "It was fate."
