The sun sets upon the life of a young girl

Taking away her hope, her soul, erasing the truth

She turns to the nothingness in front and no ones there to help her face it

She is alone, wandering the bloodied boulevards, watching her dreams fall apart

She has her doll, a small little piece of cloth and wool

With one eye and a torn arm

It's her last hope to stay sane

To not cry, to not break away

Her heart was ripped more than once

To nothing but shreds, of anguishing cries of laughter

Of who she once was

Who was she now…what has changed

Had they really left her, and moved away

Moved on with their life, completely forgot

Who was with them to begin with

Who was with them through it all

They continued their lives

Following the yellow brick road

While she hung in the shadows

Of the pain drenched alleys

Maybe one day, the light will shine through to her soul again

Help her find a way from the cold and bloody streets

And maybe one day, the sun will rise upon her life again

With new friends, true friends, and maybe even…best friends

What was left behind cannot be forgotten,

the truth behind the laughter

The pain of bleeding a smile

The truth is bitter, yet it's what keeps us motivated

To keep the sappy illusion of love, faith, and happiness going

She stands at crossroad, each path leading to something even worse than the other

There is one thing for sure in the path of life, whatever it may be

Don't look back, don't think about the past

You chose the road..there's no going back
