Light.

I haven't seen it for a long time.

Voices.

Six of them. They debate who will play and who will watch.

Start.

A blind girl goes first.

Read.

A young boy tells her the numbers on the dice.

Run.

My legs move on their own, moving six paces ahead.

Trouble.

The same boy reads the card for her. He says that she's in trouble.

Snap.

A rhino charges at me. I jump forward one pace to dodge it.

Next.

An older girl goes next. She moves twelve spaces ahead. She is safe.

Continue.

The two boys go, and soon it is back to me.

Safe.

The roll of the dice. I move four. I am safe.

Forever

Forever it goes. In a circle.

Onward.

Forced to go forever onward. Never to look back.

Forty.

Forty paces I move foreword in all. I have won. Safe once again.

Call.

But now I cringe at that dreadful call.

Jumanji.

I know what comes next.

Darkness.

Until the next time someone takes off the lid to our world.

But we still will only go in that dreadful circle.
