Annabeth sat on her log at the campfire that night with one thought on her mind; Percy Jackson. He was all she could ever think about anymore. She has two statues of him with every one statue of a god on Olympus and she couldn't stop thinking about him now. That night Annabeth and a few other campers will be going to find him. The stupid Seaweed Brain got himself stuck in a Roman Camp, and again, Annabeth has to come and save him. There was another huge problem, though; he might not even know who she is. He could have had his mind erased like Jason's was.
She couldn't stop thinking of the way his black hair hung in his eyes. She thought about the way he would give her his signature goofy smile whenever she even walked into the room. She remembered the brilliant color of his eyes and the way they sparkled like the sea when he laughed. She loved him and that's all there was to it. She had to see him and she couldn't wait till the next day when she finally gets the chance. She decided to get off of her butt and get to her cabin before the harpies came out. She didn't get much sleep anyway.
The next day, she stood waiting for the people coming with her. Pretty soon everyone was walking toward her and the ship, "Hey guys! Is everyone here." Annabeth looked around the crowd of half-bloods. She started calling out names like she was a teacher bringing a class on a field trip. "Leo?"
"Here."
"Piper?"
"Here."
"Jason?"
"Of course, I'm here."
"Clarisse?"
"What!"
"Grover?"
"Here."
"Alright, that's everyone. Lets go!" They all climbed onto the ship and departed from their camp. It was a few days before they were scheduled to land. When it became minutes before landing time, Annabeth pulled Grover to the side and said to him, "Grover, I just want you to know so that you don't freak out."
"Ok?" He said, unsure of what to say, "Go on."
"I've been thinking-"
"Really?" Grover said sarcastically.
"Ugh! Let me talk!"
"Fine! Fine!"
"Anyway, I've been thinking that Percy and I have been together for a total of eight months now, including the months without him."
"That doesn't make any sense. How can you be together if he was here for the past six months?" She glared at him harshly.
"Shut up." He kept his mouth shut and she continued, "Percy and I have become two of the closest people I know and I think its time to bring our relationship up a notch."
"Like?"
"Like, If he remembers me and everything we went through together then I will make love to him tonight."
"…" Grover didn't know what to say so he stayed silent which just plunged the room into an awkward silence. "Oh. Aren't you a little, I don't know, young?"
"Age doesn't matter as long as I'm sure that he's the one I want. I just wanted you to know because you're the closest friend of mine on this ship."
"Ok…Um next time. Consult in a girl about this kind of stuff." Grover got up slowly and backed out of the room a little freaked out.
