Prologue
Fear is the defining characteristic of a human being. It shapes us, molds us, creates a shell by which we store the core of our personality to be limited by our nightmares. Fear keeps us alive when we would otherwise rush towards death. Fear is the natural reaction to keep us alive.
And here, in the pockmarked wasteland of crumbling skyscrapers and shattered pavement, fear is what separates and delegates us. The fears of death, truth, and emotions bind us together and pull us apart at the same time. Like being a tiny shaving of metal stuck between two powerful magnets. We didn't stand a chance of breaking free from our self-perpetuating bonds. But I thought I'd give it a try anyways.
Here lies Riley Lupis, death by stupidity. May God have mercy on my soul.
