Day One: Why must dragons always be considered evil? Sure we kidnap the princesses but there's a reason for that I promise. See we kidnap the princesses because they are nasty little things. If they aren't sending knights to kill us to win their hands, they are whining about little things like clothes and jewelry! See we dragons have very good hearing and it's quite annoying to listen to them whine. To get them to stop we just go kid nap them and threaten to eat them. We rarely do eat them, after all they are such nasty little things and don't taste very good. Neither does metal for that matter, but we take these princesses away so that the good knights won't have to deal with such nasty people, but apparently they thing we LIKE these girls and try to get them back. Usually after one's returned from a dragon they are much more behaved (we seem to have that effect on them). Perhaps I should tell a bit about myself before I get into my life stories. My name is Maur, I'm a simple little green dragon living in the hills of some mystical little land trying not to get killed. It is really is annoying when your trying to recover from a night of cattle chasing, feasting, and the occasional smoke rings with friends, and then while your sleeping you hear all this ranting and complaining! Honestly I see why the kings marry their daughters off! If the guys met them before hand they wouldn't want to marry them! I'm sorry to rant perhaps I should explain a bit more than my color and where I live. As you can tell I live next to a castle. Well not right next to, but close enough to hear everything that goes on. I try to live a peaceful life, I don't like human flesh. I do like cows, and I try not to eat so many that the poor farmers don't have anything left. Heck sometimes I'll fly for miles and miles to find a plump cow pasture to eat just to leave the poor farmers here something. I'm really not all that bad, but we get a bad rap. If you come near my lair I'm probably sleeping and you can walk right by, what would I do with a human anyways? Salty things they are, not worth my time. Tiny little bites, don't last long enough to enjoy. Hanging with my friends, holding fire breathing contests are always fun. We don't try to set the land on fire, it just accidentally happens when we've had too much sheep (their wool does funny things to our heads, kinda like what humans get what they call hang overs. Oye, when they have jousting competitions after a night of one to many sheep, that's a splitting headache!) I bet your wondering about our obsession with gold and glittery things aren't you. Who doesn't like a shiny thing?? It's rather amusing to us, watching the light of the sun or moon, or even our firey breath catch on the metal. That's all really, the gems and things are just toys to us. We collect them from the occasional theif, and sometimes people offer them to us so we don't eat them! (Like we would anyways, honestly people have nothing to fear).
Anyways, this is my journal of events that happen around here. So wether it be more ranting about princesses or jousting tournaments or someone trying to get a scale, who knows what tomorrow holds. Until then, The Dragon Maur
