Okay, so this is a legend for a made-up from Furuba. As guessed, it's a spider. Why? Because Spiders are awesome like that. Enjoy!!
Long ago, in the time of the Jade Emperor, lived an absolutly beautiful creature called Spider. Spider was wise, creative, and outgoing, and an extremly friendly person. On the day of the race, Spider stayed home in her silk web, because she wanted to give the other animals a chance. Now, the Jade Emperor did not like this idea, but was convinced when the other animals loved her for it. Later, Spider and Snake fell in love, and Spider promised him many children and her unending loyalty, and both were happy. The Jade Emperor was furious- he did not want Spider and Snake to be together, for then it would corrupt nature. So he dissallowed spider to ever see snake again. Spider, heartbroken and angry, bit the Emperor and made him very ill. The Jade Emperor was even madder now, and shunned Spider forever, convincing her that she was the most ugly creature in the world, and no one loved her, not even Snake, whom he said only pitied her. Spider had no choice but to believe him. So Spider forced Snake from her life. But Snake did not know, and still kept trying to bring her back. But, Spider kept refusing, and ran away. She spun a web in the clouds, where no one could ever hurt her, and she would never have to see Snake again. That is why Spiders to this day weave webs up in the corners of houses- because no one can ever touch them there.
