The funeral home was quiet. Standing alone was a small boy, eight years old, watching the ground as tears formed in his eyes. No one spoke to him, realizing that he wanted to be left alone. It was when his father, Ryuken Ishida, told him to stop sulking, did the boy run outside. It was raining hard and he opened up to cry. The tears flowed from his eyes like they fell from the sky, fogging up his large glasses.

"Uryu." came a voice. The small boy turned to see his beautiful mother, standing next to him in the rain. "Don't cry sweaty. You know your grandfather loved you very much, and he'll always be with you no matter what. He's probably in heaven now, watching over you, so don't be sad." she soothed. The boy was still crying, but not as hard as he had. She smiled and pulled him into a hug. "Everything will be alright hunny. I wish you weren't there to see it. I'm so sorry." she said. Uryu tock comfort from his mother's words. She was right after all. He smiled up at her, and she ruffled his hair. Neither felt like going back, so they stood in the rain until Ryuken said it was time to leave.

(One day SHY OF eight years old Grandma passed away

I was a broken hearted little boy, blowing out that birthday cake

How I cried when the sky let go with a cold and lonesome rain

Momma smiled said don't be sad child Grandma's watchin you today)

Byakuya sat in the garden. It was the anniversary of Hisana's death. He had fallen in love with her when they had met and together, even though he broke the law, they got married and started what he thought would be a long and happy life together. They lived on the Kuchiki grounds, so not many people bothered them. Not long ago though, tragedy had struck and now he really misses her. More than anything in the world did he want to see her again. Now he will keep his promise and look after her little sister Rukia. He will go make the offer to adopt her as his little sister today. Sighing he looked out to see it was raining a little.

(Seasons come and seasons go nothin' stays the same

I grew up fell in love met a girl who took my name

Year by year we made a life in this sleepy little town

I thought we'd grow old together Lord I sure do miss her now)

Isshin stood watching Karin walk down the aisle. She was twenty-three now and was marring the captain of squad ten, Toshiro Hitsugaya. It's sad that Masaki couldn't be here today, she would have loved to see her daughter get married. Ichigo and his friends through rice into the air as her and Toshiro passed. Karin looked at her father and smiled, he smiled back, and slowly it started to rain. Karin made her way over to her father. "Hey Whiskers," she said. He gave her a full grin at the nickname she gave him when her and Yuzu were eleven. "Don't worry. I know Mom would have loved to be here, and she's probably watching." she said leaving to go see Toshiro again. Isshin felt tears form in his eyes. She was dead right, Masaki probably was watching. And he stood looking up in the sky as the rain continued to fall.

(Well my little girl is 23 I walk her down the aisle

it's a shame her mom can't be here now to see her lovely smile

They throw the rice I catch her eye as the rain starts comin' down

she takes my hand says daddy don't be sad 'cause I know momma's watchin' now)

I obviously don't own anything, either Bleach or the song 'Holes in the floor of heaven.' I wrote this one-shot because my grandfather had died and I wanted to find some way to honor his memory. He died on Dec. 11 2010. He was my best friend so I wrote this for him. The first one had to be Uryu, obviously, and the second had to be Byakuya, I really don't know any other two who they could be. The last one was tricky, but I thought Karin would be the best choice. Thanks for reading.
