The young handsome man heard the horrid curse cast upon him and stared as the green light came pelting towards his chest. Cedric Diggory's body slumped to the floor with apparent finality.

Little did Harry, Wormtail, Voldemort or any spectators of the TriWizard tournament know that strapping Mr Diggory was not dead but stuck in a strong stupor. Wormtail was not a powerful enough wizard to grant death to the young man but had instead rendered Cedric into a coma.

Cedric's body was held by his father and his father wept over him for hours. Cedric could hear every inch of pain in him but could not move. The curse was performed and Cedric was supposedly dead and his family mourned at his funeral. His father gave him a Timeturner, a family keepsake that was supposed to be carried through the generations. It was put to rest with Cedric's body and quite fatefully so. When Cedric came to he awoke befuddled and perplexed. Attempting to sit up in his coffin he hit his head against it.

Cedric in his dazed state began muttering and shifting his hands (which unfortunately for him he was holding onto his wand), "Confundo...Obliviate"

With that all his memories of being Cedric Diggory were lost and replaced with the confusing memories of believing his name is Edward and began to play with the time turner on his chest. Around and around until he finally came to 1900.

A humble woman cared for Cedric-Edward as though he were her own child and could sense the magic within him. When they both caught Spanish Influenza it was all she could do to beg the vampire doctor so save him.

Okay so this was a rubbish crackpot joking parody. Kind of thought of this three years ago as a joke and thought I should write it for real. In the fourth book 'Moody' teaches the fourth years the unforgivable spells. He explains that wizards who casts some spells need to be strong enough to cast them. Probably explains why Lockhart was absolutely shit even though sometimes he tried. I never thought Wormtail was a strong enough wizard although looking back I think he is pretty strong.
