She's gone. Gone forever.

"Lenalee!" His anguished screams filled the air, hot tears running down his cheeks. This wasn't right. It couldn't happen. It's all my fault. My fault. Those words echoed in his head, reminding him over and over.

"Lenalee!" The white-haired boy continued to howl, limping weakly towards a bloody bundle of torn clothing and flesh. She's gone. Why is she gone?

The tears failed to stop, and they continued to poor endlessly from his sorrow-filled eyes. If only he had been there to protect her. If only he had been more careful. It's my fault. The uniform that he was wearing was torn and stained with blood. Sweat and dirt covered his face, and his scarred arm was bleeding and damaged. Smoke covered the area, groaning and moaning of pain filled the air. However, the snowy-haired boy ignored it all. His face was contorted into the expression of misery and sadness, disbelief clear in his eyes.

Lenalee. My Lenalee.

He collapsed at the foot of the bloody body, gasping from the sight. The body belonged to Lenalee Lee, Allen Walker's lover, friend, and companion. Her pale complexion was even more pale, also covered with the crimson liquid of blood. Her long, dark hair was splayed out over her body, matted and no longer smooth. The boy buried his face into her neck, sobbing and crying as he realized that she was no longer breathing.

If only he had been there to defend her. If only he had gotten there in time.

Damn the Earl. Damn him to Hell.

All the times they had been together, was that all for nothing? The kisses, the embraces, the happy memories of her smiles and cheerfulness? He gripped her tighter, holding her body close to him. It was all for nothing. She was dead, killed by a Level 4 Akuma. He wasn't strong enough. Allen wasn't strong enough, and this was the result. No, it was the Innocence. The Innocence that drove her to fight for the Black Order with her life. Lenalee was right, Innocence should be loathed.

But now, she was gone.

"Allen..." Another exorcist came forth from the smoke, one of the remaining that was alive. His uniform was falling apart, and the orange-haired teenager was bleeding heavily from his forehead. He had seen Allen, and was confused when he found him crying, holding a body. And that was when it hit him. It was Lenalee.

"Allen...I'm sorry..."

Was that all he had to say? I'm sorry. Anger bubbled within Allen's heart, anger at the world, and anger at the Innocence.

"Fuck off!"

Were those words really coming from Allen's mouth? It wasn't like this for the sweet-natured boy to swear. He became silent, refusing to let go of her body. Even when recruits came with Finders, he refused to let go. Komui found out about Lenalee, but his sorrow wasn't able to match that of Allen's, as great as it was. The feelings that were ruling over his head and heart were stubborn, refusing to let go of Allen himself. And it was all because she was gone.

Lenalee's gone. Gone forever.

A/N - Hello! Just something that I thought of writing. Quite short, but I'm kind of satisfied with it. Enjoy. (:
