~Chapter One~ Just as Merry was returning home from Farmer Maggot's Crop, he had bumped into a new Hobbit. It was Malana. And she wasn't your typical Hobbit. She was a maiden princess, the daughter of King Erebor to be exact. She had the most enchanting green eyes with golden blondish brown hair flowing in the wind. And had a tiara placed around her fore-head. She had her mother's and her aunt Arwen's beauty which made her as beautiful and wise as an elf and as adventurous as a Hobbit. As Merry stuttered, he had felt as if he had been swept off his feet with her beauty and elegance. Malana got up, brushed herself off and grabbed Merry's arm to help him up. "I am so terribly sorry. Are you all right?" "I think so." said Merry just making words up as he went. "I hope I will. I mean I got swept away from your beauty. I.. I.. I.. I didn't mean to say that out loud." Malana smiled and blushed a bit. "Well, sometimes an elf's mind can play tricks. Or any mind, better yet." said Malana. Merry looked a bit curious and then chuckled. "I guess you could say that." Malana looked into the distance and saw a figure running towards them. Malana sounding nervous said "I better get going. It was so nice meeting you." All of a sudden, Malana whistled an elvish tune and up came the most exquisite horse u had ever seen. Malana climbed on top of the horse and before Merry could say fare-well, Malana had kicked the sides off the horse and rode off. All of a sudden, Merry's cousin/best friend Pippin came running up to him with his arms full of all sorts of vegetables. "Merry! Look at all the stuff I got from Farmer Maggot!" said Pippin with a giggle like he always does when he steals stuff from Farmer Maggot. Pippin stared at Merry with a curious face. "Merry?" Pippin was curious to know why Merry was acting so weird. "Huh? What was that you said, Pip?" "Something's weird about you." said Pippin eye-balling him. "Wow, Pippin. You did great!" said Merry with a grin. "Lets take this home, shall we Pip?" "Okay, but I will beat you home!" with a smile. And off ran Pippin. But before Merry ran after him he look towards the path Malana had taken and sighed.
