Knocking on Death's Door

Order or command, I don't know but
Again I fall into the deep abyss
These seem to be my final days
I know I will not missed

In my life, just three doors down
Is the solid door in sturdy, oaken frame
On which I'm always knocking
Trying to beat Death's game

I won't always, win, and when I loose
The score will be close, and it won't be soon
I will tell you that some will survive
But it won't always be me, I realize

The fall continues, down,
On my grave, written in stone
It'll say I did my best, and below
My old and tired bones
