Disclaimer: I do not own Samurai 7 or any material related to Gonzo in any way or form. Neither do I own the brilliant Nasami, who belongs solely to Samuraiko-sama.

A/N: Slightly AU Samurai 7. Inspiration is "I Still Believe" by Hayden Panettiere and a story on (lovegivesmehope dot com). Somehow, I don't think I did justice to Samuraiko-sama's amazing character, and if she wishes me to take this down, it'll come down.

For Samuraiko.

Moonlit nights permeate romance, and ones on a pier by the sea- the tang of salt perfuming the air, the whisper of the tide's ebb and flow, the gentle breath of wind sweeping a veil of clouds away-are the greatest of all.

The man with earthen eyes aged with wisdom and experience, and hair that falls in chocolate waves gazes as his beloved, the samurai woman with silken white hair and eyes as lush and deep and blue as the sea. She gazes back at her husband, a soft smile on her lips, and an unspoken burning passion blazes between them.

Hands meet hands, neither soft nor unscathed; these calloused hands have seen much in the years: war and death, pain and suffering. But above all, they have seen an almost impossible survival of love. Bodies move close, near flesh on flesh; there's no one to stop them now.

The scene is set, they move as one, and for hours they stay, slow dancing to no music.
