Later Years
Harry and Ginny sat face to face in a lovely restaurant in London. As they ate, they would take occasional glances at each other, overwhelmed that they were finally partners. Harry finished eating a piece of steak and rinsed it down with a drop of white wine.
" I'm so glad you agreed to come with me tonight." Said Harry as he put his hands across the table to touch Ginny's soft and tender hands. "Yeah, I'm glad too." She blushed "Oh. This meal's lovely, it's nearly better than my mum's cooking!" She took her hand away from Harry's to pick up the flute of wine and gulped a lot down, more than usual then.
" Oh, I'm full! Do you want to get going? We could take a walk around outside? They've built new love gardens." Said Harry pushing his chair in and pulling on a leather jacket over his jet-black robes. " Okay, they sound nice," said his date. She got up and put on a white jacket that made her auburn hair contrast vividly with her hair.
The couple made their way to pay the bill, and then holding hands, they walked out the restaurant, to gardens filled with red and white roses. Golden fairies flew around the gardens, softly singing a love chant that made anyone who heard it really romantic.
They stopped beside a fountain that had nymphs sculptured into the stone. The water was shining in the moonlight. Harry stopped Ginny, pulled her towards him, and gave her a slow, passionate kiss. She put her arms around his neck and pulled him closer. They pulled away but with their bodies against each other.
Harry, then bent down on one knee, looking up at his girlfriend's small but beautiful face. She put her hands to her face in shock, but put them down so Harry could put her hands in his.
"Virginia Mallory Weasley, will you marry me, Harry James Potter?" said Harry, still kneeling down on one knee.
Ginny was very surprised but she didn't have to think, after all she had fancied her brother's best friend for 8 years.
"Yes, I will!" said Ginny with a sudden urge of power. Harry got up and put his arms around Ginny's slender figure, they looked each other eye to eye and then shared a loving lock of lips.
