Collins and Angel were sitting in the Hospital bed. Collins had her wrapped in his arms, and was crying softly on her shoulder. Just a few days before he had brought her to the hospital when she collapsed in their Life Support meeting. All of their friends had come over and tried to make Angel feel as good as possible. Mimi painted her nails, and Joanne read her favorite stories to her. All of the others made sure they were with her all the time. Mark brought his video camera, but decided not to use it in respect for Angel. They didn't care if she was a man. They didn't care that she wore heels instead of work boots. They loved her for her. She was so loveable, and sweet. But Collins had loved her the most. She was his soul mate. And this is how their perfect love story would end, both of them in her hospital bed with Collins rocking her back and forth.
"I love you Angel." he said, and kissed her on the forehead. His left his lips lingering. A single tear ran down his cheek and landed on her lips. "I love you so much." He began to get up when her hand twitched. Collins looked at it with hope in his eyes.
"Angel?" he whispered. Her hand slowly moved up to cup his cheek. He put his hand over it.
"I love you to." She said in a weak voice. Collins smile was fluorescent and his eyes flooded with tears.
"Angel! Angel! Oh Angel!" He hugged her with all his strength. "Angel you're alive." And he kissed her lips.
"You bet I'm alive." She laughed weakly, when he pulled away. "Do you think I would leave you here to get with another man? No sir." Collins smiled, his eyes glittering.
"Angel, you're the only one I'll love." Then he kissed her again. "How do you feel?" she thought for a minute.
"You remember Tom from the Life Support meeting?"
"Ya."
"Well I feel like him. I feel better than I ever have. I was so close to death Collins. I'm not going to live in fear anymore because, I know what's waiting for me. And you know what?"she asked.
"What is it Angel?" Collins asked, his hand still over hers.
"It wasn't so bad. There was a warm white light, and I saw all of our friends from Life Support that died. They said, 'Angel, you have a sure thing. Don't let go of it.'" Tears filled her eyes. "And I won't let go of it Collins. I will never let go of you." She kissed him then. "Never, never, never."
