This is just a one shot about Tetra's love for Link when he seems to doubt her. Please enjoy :)
"I don't know why your still here," Tetra commented as Link stood by her bedroom door, "You should leave with your sister. She might need you,"
"I can't stay there anymore," Link said as his shoulders sagged and she noticed the bags under his eyes and his crumpled clothes, "I don't think I can go back. What if something happens to them because of me?"
"Link they love you," Tetra told him and he just looked away and couldn't meet her eyes.
"I thought you loved me too," Link said before he stormed out the door and left her alone. Tetra sank onto her large, empty bed and rested her head on her soft pillow. Link was always so stubborn. It had been four years since they beat Ganon but he hadn't returned to Outset Island with his sister and during that time he hadn't even mentioned visiting when his grandma became ill. She had to handle him like a puppy, she had to be tough but shower it with love and support. She closed her eyes and wiped a tear from her eye. Of course she loved him but why did he keep doubting her?
"Link," she whispered softly, loving the feel of his name as it escaped his lips. She loved everything about him, his soft blonde hair and the way he was determined and courageous yet that made him slightly stupid at times. That's why she was always there to catch him when he fell, just like the first day she met him when he flung himself off the cliff to try to save his sister from the menacing bird. She was there to save him just as he saved her too. They were perfect together, the perfect, unstoppable team.
Tetra smiled to herself and secretly admitted to herself that his stubbornness did make him unstoppable. But maybe that was why she also loved him. Love; she never thought of herself as the girl who would find it. True love was what she had and she adored it. She basked in it every day and still she could never get enough of him and he knew that she knew she was holding back. Trying to stay safe even though there was no point anymore. She couldn't help herself though; it was just instinct to try to survive the horrible, treacherous world and stay intact.
"Tetra," Link's voice called from the hallway and her heart pounded fiercely in her chest, "Tetra are you ok? I didn't mean it. I know you love me," Link said as he appeared at her doorway again and she opened her eyes and smiled warmly trying to let down the walls that held her heart captive; walls that she had created herself when her parents were killed.
"You have no clue how much I love you," Tetra whispered and she knew that he heard her from the smile that exploded across his face.
