Hello - I am working on my other stories. I will give you proof soon. Don't yell at me okay? I try harder over the summer for the complete lack of nice weather or good health. School is school (which starts later this year then normal - wohoo) and is enough of an excuse most times...But anyway I'm going to try my skills more (since I usually write depressing stuff whether its on this site or not) and do something happy...(yeah right)... and something with poetics..so sorry if I ramble - enjoy! Oh and its called The Poetic Side of FullMetal Alchemist. This will be two different points of view (POV). The reason why I say maybe one shot is because it depends on the length of the first POV. Okay without further udo - here you go!

Alphonse Elric - The Armor Child

The world seems to see me as an adult.

Surely a big suit of armor can't hold a little boy.

Can it?

It does not hold a little boys body.

No -

Only his soul.

How did that happen?

How did that become?

Surely you know how you have succumb to that form?

That form so big and yet so small.

Unshed tears,

Hidden grimaces,

Only his voice

Remains through the years.

He should be thankful - but he pays no heed.

Those needs,

Those wants,

He yearns for them.

Even if he knows

That he would not be here

If it were not for

This body of his.

Again they travel,

And through the years he learns -

Maybe what he yearns for

Is not so always so far.

Roy Mustang - The Tortured Flame

Sleepless nights,

Undying flames,

These things

They are a shame.

He wishes to escape,

He wishes to run,

But yet those flames -

Those merciless flames

Will blaze on through the darkest of days,

And happiest of moments.

His hands,

Splattered with blood,

Will continue on

Until the job is done.

As he goes

Through the years

His thoughts,

They cannot help

But to wander.

Aimlessly -

As if trying to think -

What had he done?

Those friends he has

He cannot tell them his sorrows.

For every day he lives has already been borrowed.

Sometimes though

He stops,

And smiles.

His life - no matter the past

Could not be more perfect -

If only for a moment.

Riza Hawkeye - Snipper

Take a deep breath and pull the trigger.

What has been done

It cannot whither.

Over the years

Those sounds,

So dear by now,

Have dulled.

Those screams

They only last a moment -

But even then,

That moment kills.

Slowly, but surely,

It kills.

Take a deep breath -

Reload,

Release.

How long until you die?

How long until this gun -

Merciless even to its user -

Kills you on the inside?

But then you have to breath -

A slow steady breathe,

And think -

This is not so bad.

This is not so rough.

You have friends,

Family in a way,

Who care -

Who make it alright.

So again -

Take a deep breath.

Reload - release.

For when you turn

You will have them

At your back.

Edward Elric - Break

It burns,

It hurts,

But nothing is as bad

As the that memory -

It lurks.

That moment in time

He wishes to go back.

To right the wrong

To save not only his mom -

But his brother.

How he longs for their smiles.

One not as far away - but impossible to reach.

All the hits,

All the blood,

He can take it all.

His brother,

Unable to feel,

Unable to touch,

For him -

He takes it all - unflinching under the weight.

Until his brother can smile he will do it.

Take in the pain -

But only for so long.

How can he keep it up?

It is only a matter of time -

That pain it hurts,

That white, hot, sizzling burning.

Right in his chest - right in his heart.

He falters - his control loosening.

The pain - it breaks him.

If only for a moment -

Going...going...but then

He straightens -

He can do it.

He will not break.

Not until he can see that smile again.

Then maybe, just maybe, he can be broken.

Although - he will be broken with all the pieces hopefully intact.

A crack maybe.

A crack in that grin - but it is not gone.

He stands tall,

Not broken, but strong.

Pinako - Home

Those boys,

Young and blind,

Are in that world.

How are they?

Are they fine?

Why do you not come home?

We always make extra.

If even for a meal -

Please come home.

We hope you come back.

Even if your battered or beaten -

We want you back.

So we have a silent plea - each time you leave

Do come back...

It would not be the same without you.

It would never be the same without you.

Understand this -

Even if your gone,

Even if your scared,

No matter what -

This is, and always will be

Home.

Okay that was it. Like them? Tell me which is your favorite - I personally like the Alphonse one best. I might make more - but I've never been good with poetry. Hope you liked them! Oh by the way - Pinako's was about Ed and Al but sort of about Winry's parents - how they leave and she wants them to come back...I know it's sort of sad but most were happier at the end - right? XD This is a grand total of 9 pages. Thank you for reading! :D
