Memory

Kimberly Hart flopped down on the bed with a sigh. She was supposed to be cleaning the room, getting rid of junk she no longer needed but she kept getting distracted.

Looking down at the photo album into her lap Kim began flipping through it, stopping at random places, smiling at the memories each picture brought up. Stopping at a group near the back a smile found its way to her lips.

The pictures weren't that old but it had been a good day and she needed to remember those at this point. The first one depicted her, Adam, Aisha, Tommy, Billy and Jason all sitting at an outside table at one of the restaurants in Angel Grove. They were all smiling at the camera, sandwiched together to ensure everyone was in the picture.

They'd met up by accident that day, everyone out to do some shopping. Looking to the next picture Kim couldn't help but laugh at what it depicted.

Kim was attempting to chew a bit of her salad while laughing at the waiter not far behind the table. She knew she couldn't but she couldn't help herself, the man totally deserved what he'd gotten.

The waiter had been theirs until she had asked for another before she'd done something she'd regretted. The table beside theirs had been the one to take more severe action; the waiter had ended up with a glass of pop in the face and piece of cake down his shirt.

Kim couldn't blame them; the waiter had been unbelievingly rude to Jason and Billy as soon as it became apparent that they were a couple.

Kim looked across the table and smiled as Jason leaned over and kissed Billy. It should be like this, they shouldn't have to hide their relationship.

"I wonder what he said to get that," Adam said, making small talk.

Aisha shrugged, "Whatever it was, I'm sure he deserved it."

Kim nodded in agreement, "He certainly deserved it when he was over here."

Billy shook his head, "It would have been stooping to his level Kim and he's not worth it."

Kim looked over at him, "You're right, he's not but my friends are, both you are worth it."

"Thanks Kim, though I'm still glad it wasn't you who threw anything at him," Jason said, squeezing her hand.

A knock on the door pulled her out of the memory. Closing the photo album Kim looked up and smiled at Tommy in the doorway.

"Got distracted?" Tommy asked; coming and sitting down beside her.

"Yeah, remember that day at the restaurant, that waiter?"

Tommy thought about it for a minute, "Yeah that guy was rude. Anyway, I just came to tell you that Jason and Billy are on their way over."

"What already? I got get dressed," Kim set the photo album aside and began to rifle through the closet.

Tommy chuckled, "Shall I tell them you'll be a couple of hours?"

Kim through a glare his way before diving deep into the closet, "Take the photo album down with you. I want to show them some of the pictures."

Tommy didn't reply, he only took the album and made is way slowly out of the room. Narrowly avoiding being hit with clothes Kim tossed out of the closet along the way.
