Author's Note: Originally done for just a little bit of creative writing. For some reason, I envision that Rorschach would basically pop in unannounced alot when it came to his fellow Watchmen - particularly Nite Owl given their partnership before the events of Watchmen occurred. In fact, the scene where Rorschach tells Daniel about the murder of the Comedian for some reason is one of my favourites and is one of the many events that seems to have been imprinted in my head. Personally, I think Daniel, who is used to this unwelcomed intrusion, would leave the old beans on purpose since Rorschach would eat it anyway but that's just me.

"Hello, Rorschach."

The costumed vigilante turned around to greet the home's occupant and said in return, "Daniel."

"Would it have been too much to call first?"

"Don't have a phone."

Daniel sighed as he pushed what was left of the door to enter his apartment. Rorschach, with his hands in his pockets, followed behind the retired superhero whilst shuffling his feet against the carpet. The two fumbled their way in the darkness towards the kitchen: "Got anything to eat?" the masked crime-fighter brushed roughly past against the occupant.

"I haven't done any shopping since Saturday," Daniel said as he flipped the switch to turn the lights on. He watched as his friend open up the pantry, prowling for whatever food he could lay his hands on. "I've been sorting out some paperwork for Hollis – I'm thinking of doing some part time for him until I sort out where I'm going next." He remained silent until Rorschach moved to the fridge next, "I wouldn't drink that milk," he warned. "It's…never mind."

Wiping away the moustache, Rorschach begin looking through the cupboards and took out triumphantly a dusty can of beans, "I'll just have these."

"I don't know how long they've-"

"Doesn't matter. It'll do."

"…you want me to heat them up for you?"

"Fine like this," Rorschach replied as he scooped the beans greedily.

Daniel pulled a chair to sit down across from him and then grimaced, "What happened to your arm?"

"It was a dog."

"…what?"

"It was a big dog," the vigilante finished as he pulled down his mask.
