Author Note: Hi all! This is probably the first Conner and Kira, centric story that I'm writing. Hopefully, I'll write more of these two in the near future. This is basically done as a one-shot, with the couple as adults, so bear with me.

Disclaimer: I don't own PR, just the plot.

This is dedicated to Petrapen, since she's been such a great inspiration at the moment. Hope you like this:-)

She was walking around the streets on a cold evening. Her matted face was drenched in tears from crying. Trent broke up with her. The world was about to be over when she sobbed to herself. She couldn't face it, but the two of them moved on.

As she entered her apartment, she threw her keys onto the kitchen table as she attempted to remove her jacket and propped herself into the sofa. Her eyes began to well up with tears as she felt the flashback coming back to her memory.

"Kira, I'm sorry. I really didn't mean for this to end this way," he spoke softly as he hugged her tightly.

"No, it's alright," she sobbed, "I'll miss the great times we had together. Thanks for everything Trent," she teared.

The two embraced as Kira dried her eyes. Trent kissed her one last time as she watched his face depart from her. He nodded as he unlocked from her embrace. Kira returned to the place she called home as she figured what to do with her evening.

She sat up from the couch, fumbling for tissues when she decided to make a phone call. It wasn't even late, so she decided to call someone that she cared about as a friend and as a brother – Conner McKnight.

McKnight, who was home from college, answered her phone call. He was watching a sports game on television when he heard the phone ring. He reached over as he noticed Kira's number.

"Hello?" he answered as he heard sobs, "Kira? Is everything alright?" he asked softly.

"Yeah," she sobbed, "I mean can you come over?" she asked as she dried her eyes.

The former red Dino Thunder ranger nodded as he hung up the phone. He placed his red jacket over him as he walked over to his car. While walking over to his car, he saw a yellow car pull up. The young girl exited the car as she double locked it.

When she got out, she embraced her friend tightly. He hugged her back in return as he comforted her tears and worries. He took her by the hand as they walked back to his house.

The evening went well as the two chatted. This soothed Kira. She wasn't alone anymore. Maybe a friendship before a relationship was what she needed. Conner definitely did pull through for her that night.

A friendship before relationship.
