A trio of men sat together outside a small bustling restaurant. The whistles of trains coming and going made up the ambience as the citizens of Deling City walked to and fro. One of the men sitting, the one with long ebony hair, hungrily bit into a hamburger. The other two men ate more modestly. One of them, a tall dark man, motioned to a letter sitting by the ebony haired man. The man had just finished writing something down and sealing it up in its envelope.

"A letter for Raine?" He asked perceptively. Laguna nodded as he took another bite from his burger. "I plan to write to her every day." He said mouth full of food. Kiros looked away in disgust as Ward managed a throaty chuckle.

"Still can't believe we missed the train." Laguna muttered. This earned a glare from both Kiros and Ward.

"…"

"I agree with Ward. If you had gone to the bathroom earlier—" Kiros began speaking for Ward.

"Aw right! I get it! I'm sorry! I had to tinkle! Is that so wrong?!"

The duo only shook their heads. It would be no use arguing with Laguna now.

Dear Raine,

I want to surprise you with letters everyday! I don't know if I'll always be able to send any but I'll send them as I can. Right now the guys and I are at Deling City. We missed our train to Dollet, supposedly there's a man there who used to be an engineer in Esthar, so right now we're chillin' at the station and eating. The next train isn't until tomorrow but this gives us time to stock up on items the Winhill shop doesn't have.

I miss you already. Please be safe since I can't be there to kill the local fiends. Stay indoors if you have too.

Love you,

Laguna

That drabble spun off into its own series!
