The thumping of Hermione's swollen feet became louder in her ears as she continued to walk towards the camp site with Ginny. Hermione didn't particularly like to play Quidditch but she loved to watch it and she was excited to see the Quidditch World Cup… although she was afraid she wasn't quite as enthusiastic as the others considering she new Harry, Ron and the rest of the Weasley boys were more than just interested by the wizarding sport. And Ginny had told her that she's been sneaking into the broom closet in order to practice Quidditch herself.
As they finally reached the camp site, everyone started dropping their bag and Mr. Weasley pulled a small white tent from a sack he had been carrying on his shoulder the whole way. As Harry and Ron finally reached the reserved spot after falling behind the entire time, Hermione quickly whispered in Ginny's ear, "Remember, keep calm." And Ginny nodded and smiled before Harry and Ron walked up to Hermione's side.
"Here, Harry, where do you reckon we should start?" said Mr. Weasley.
The look on Harry's face explained that he didn't quite know how to set up a tent, even though he was brought up by muggles. Hermione knew how to set up a tent and Harry had a better idea than any of the Weasley's. Together they worked out where most of the poles and pegs should go. Meanwhile, Arthur was trying to help Harry nail the tent into the dirt.
"Dad, nobody's looking. Can't we just use a bit of magic?" Ron said as he was trying to carry more equipment for such a small tent but dropping all of it.
"Absolutely not!" said Mr. Weasley, "we're not risking anything to be the ones who reveal everything to the muggles."
Hermione walked over to Ron to help him pick up the supplies. "Here," she said, "it's simple, really. Just tie the tent to the pegs and use the poles to hold it up in the middle."
"Thanks," Ron smiled as they worked together in putting up their side of the tent.
Hermione remembered her muggle friends at her old primary school talking about the dances that their older brothers and sisters would go to in secondary school. It was never really something she was interested in at the time and she doesn't feel much different about it now but Hermione couldn't help but wonder what it would be like. It seemed like going with somebody would be an easy way to throw blunt hints at them without walking up to them and saying "I like you a lot." She wondered if she would want to go to a dance with Ron, if he would be a fun person to go with and if it would be strange at all. Then, she decided she would probably never know.
