Reasons

Disclaimer: Even though some wishes come true, my deepest wish never will. I will never own Twilight. Or Edward. sniffle
Summary: Bella goes sorts through the reasons of leaving Jacob behind. E/B
Bella's POV...
"Looking into the night sky, I understand."
I sit at my laptop, releasing what seems to be the weight of the world.
"I understand everything...why it has to be this way, why he gets my heart.
And why one, my best friend in the world, my sun, gets left behind.
The sun is happy, its warmth fills my entire being.
The day is so bright, and it is so easy to bask in its glory, its friendliness.
It breaks through even the darkest of clouds, illuminating everything.
But sometimes, completely by accident, it creates shadows. Rifts.
And then, even its most persistent attempts are in vain.
The moon on the other hand, always changing, never predictable.
The night sky is dark, but yet it calls to each of us in its own way.
Under the veil of darkness, it seems almost anything can be real..."
Smirking to myself, I let myself silently re-live the last few years...
"Even vampires and werewolves.
The night is sympathetic, romantic...everything a girl could possibly dream of."
Hearing my giggle at this, those two beautiful topaz eyes I'm so fond of try to peek at what I'm typing.
"Everyone wonders at the history of the stars, what their eternal twinkle has seen go on.
But I'm the lucky girl who got to see it for herself, and will continue to forever."
I give a sigh as I look at the breaking dawn, then a small smile as I look at my world, my Edward.
"Besides, the sun can break through clouds, but the moon holds power in an Eclipse."
Giving another glance at the sun starting to peak over the horizon, I know why Jacob and I could never be.
"I have to either sacrifice the day or night. My best friend, or my other half+both of whom I love deeply.
I've had enough days to last me a lifetime...but I will need night for eternity."
Saving the document and closing the laptop, I look at my future husband with a smile.
Even though it hurts to leave the one who fought to fix me behind, more than I could ever imagine...
I couldn't live without the only one who could truly heal me.
But that didn't mean I would ever forget...as long as I shall live.
