A/N: Hey guys! First off, I have a lot of things to be sorry for. One, I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Two, I'm sorry this is so short, I thought it was longer while I was writing it. There will be more chapters, though! Three, I'm sorry these guys are complete OOC, but it's for a friend, and she didn't really care.

Anyways, this is my first time writing Bleach, so if it's absolutely terrible please feel free to let me know. Warning, there may be future smut.

It was another, regular sunny day in Karakura town. At least, for the townspeople. They couldn't see through the eyes of a certain young captain, as he fought of something very abnormal indeed: A hollow. There had been another increase in the amount of hollows around this particular town, and Soul Society had requested that Toshiro and a few of his squad members assist for awhile. He didn't quite mind; it meant he got to see a certain special someone. His certain special someone.

And so there he was, with his blade resting lightly on his shoulder as he watched the hollow fade to nothing. "Too easy... they don't put up much of a fight." He stood there a mere moment longer, allowing the wind to ruffle his snowy-white hair, before moving his way to the Kurosaki residence.

Once he arrived, he knocked three light times on the door. To him, the house seemed oddly quiet. No father-son argument, no annoying stuffed animal, no sizzling sounds of food cooking... Is anyone even home? He knocked again, louder this time, assuming his first taps hadn't been heard. A faint 'coming!' could be heard from what sounded like upstairs. Good... she's here.

A moment later the door swung open, revealing a mid-height girl, slightly shorter than the taicho. Her hair was dark, and she wore regular outdoor clothes. "T-Toshiro, you should've told me you were coming... I would've made myself look decent," Karin muttered, cheeks ever so slightly puffed out with temporary anger.

"I wanted to surprise you."

"Well, you did. Now get in the house, it's cold outside." the tomboy ordered, moving aside so the

whitette could enter.

"It isn't that cold," Toshiro said, closing the door effortlessly behind him.

"No, I just wanted an excuse to do this." The ravenette loosely draped her arms over the taicho's shoulders, stealing his lips in a warm kiss, which was more than happily returned.

"That was.. unexpected." The captain murmured once their lips had disconnected.

"Was there a problem with it?"

"Not really."

"Then don't complain, it's not something you'll get often."

"Fine. Where's your family?" The ivory haired Shinigami asked. "I don't hear anyone."

"Ichi-Nii is out with his friends, and my sister and my dad went camping for the week."

"Camping? It's winter."

"Well, I never said they were smart."

"Obviously not..." a soft sigh passed his chapped lips, as he shoved his hands into the pockets of the jeans he was wearing. "Then I guess you don't mind if I crash here for awhile?"

"As long as you don't act like an idiot. I get enough of that from my dad."

"Then it's settled."

"Yeah. Wanna play video games? I have one paused."

"You'll have to remind me how to play..."

"Baka," she sighed softly. "Fine. C'mon." Karin lead the way up the stairs, followed by the taicho. "What do you remember about racing games?"

"Hm..." Toshiro thought for a moment, crossing out things that didn't quite make sense, and mentally noting the things that did. "You hold the right trigger-button to make the car go, the left one to drift, and use the cursor looking stubs to move it around."

Grabbing an extra controller, the ravenette joined her boyfriend in a massive beanbag on the floor. "If you remember the basics, what's the point in reteaching you?"

"I don't know. Let's just play."

"Alright... But let's set a rule."

"A rule?"

"Yeah. The loser has to do whatever the winner wants of them for a night." The tomboy had a smirk on her face upon saying this.

"Hmph. You're on." Toshiro huffed, wearing a grin quite like Karin's.

The game was reset, and they both chose cars to their liking. Karin decided on one with soccer related designs on it, while Toshiro found one with an ice dragon on it. They both pressed the start button, as instructed, and waited for it to load.

"You're toast." Karin muttered, wearing the smile she always wore when she was in a competition.

"Last one there's a rotten egg." the shinigami retorted, eyes practically gleaming with the desire to win.

They both readied their controllers as the countdown formed on the split screen. 3... 2... 1... START.
