Since I'm probably going to write a lot of one shots, I figured I would organize them into one gigantic story. Enjoy!
Is it white and gold or blue and black? That is the question.
"Sam!" Jules yelled from their bedroom. Today Sam was taking care of a two-year old Sadie while Jules finally had the time to relax. She was supposed to go to work, but with all the snow and ice that had previously fallen, Sam insisted that she not take the chance of driving in the trecherous weather.
"What is it?" she heard Sam say as he was running up the stairs. He entered the master bedroom and saw her laying underneath piles of blankets with her ipad in her hand.
"Come here." she said as she motioned him to come over. She propped herself up against the backboard of the bed.
"What's wrong?" Sam asked as he laid down next to her.
"Okay, before I get into this, is Sadie safe and secure in her playpen?" Jules asked.
"Yes, she is in her little jail cell in front of the tv watching some weird kid's show." Sam gave two thumbs up. "Safe and secure."
Ever since she started walking, Sadie was able to slip out of her parent's watchful eye and get into some trouble.
"Good, now look at this picture." She handed Sam the tablet with a picture of a dress on the screen.
"What about it?" Sam questioned.
"What color is it?" Jules asked.
"Um, pale blue with gold lacing. Why?" He handed her back the ipad.
"Just wondering. Now to be more specific. Do you see white and gold, or blue and black?"
Sam took the ipad again. "I see more of a blue and black this time. What is this? Some sort of optical illusion?"
"No," Jules retorted. "This picture has become one of the most controversial things on the internet because of its color."
"Oh, well I see blue and black." Sam repeated his answer again.
"Seriously? Even my own husband sees this as a blue and black dress. You, my darling, are color blind. It's clearly white and gold." Jules said.
"White and gold, blue and black. Who cares?" Sam got up from the bed. "I'm going to go back downstairs and watch Sadie. Enjoy the rest of your day."
The next day...
"Okay team, today we're going to take it nice and easy." Ed said as he walked into the breifing room. "I don't think anybody's going to disrupt the peace in this weather."
"It's kinda like the Walking Dead." Spike said as he turned his seat so he could face Ed. "When it's cold, the zombie's are slower, but this time, the people are slower."
"I don't think the people are slower. They're are more like inactive." Scott, one of the new members on team one, said.
"Slower, inactive. What's the difference?" Spike asked.
"Actually there's a little difference between them." Leah joined in.
"People," Jules said as she got up from her seat. "There is more important things to talk about besides the differences between slower and inactive."
"Jules is right, we should get going." Ed said.
"No, we're not leaving just yet." Jules walked over and pushed the button the closed the breifing room door. She pulled down the new projecting screen that was just installed. She grabbed a remote that could turn on the newly installed projector that was hanging from the ceiling. Jules then stole Spike's laptop and plugged in various wires that led to the projector.
"Spike, what's your password?" she asked.
"I'm not telling you." Spike snapped.
She looked up from the laptop's screen and gave him a dark evil like glare.
"It's Mama'sBoy72." Spike mumbled.
"Mama's boy 72!" Scott howled with laughter which caused Spike to punch him in the arm.
"Everybody shut up!" Jules yelled as she turned off the lights. "Okay, look at this picture." she pointed to the picture on the screen. "What color is it? White and gold, or blue and black?" She pointed to Ed.
"Blue and black." Ed said.
Jules then pointed to Spike.
"Got to agree with Ed. Blue and black." Spike replied.
"I see white and gold." Scott said in his thick scottish accent.
"It's clearly blue and black." Spike told him.
"Can you just shut up?" Scott said.
"I see white and gold." Leah said.
"Blue and black." Frankie, another new member, said.
"Me too." Hank, also a new member, said. "Blue and black all the way."
"It is clearly white and gold!" Jules snapped.
"No it's blue and black." Spike said.
"White and gold." Scott stood up and glared down at Spike.
"All of you, except for me, Scott, and Leah, are completely color blind." Jules said.
"What did Sam say?" Ed asked.
"The wrong answer." Jules replied.
"Jules, look." Hank said as he typed something in on Spike's laptop. The projector then showed pictures of the same dress except it was more clearly taken.
"It's blue and black." he said.
Jules looked with horror at the screen.
"What?" she whispered.
"It's just a dress, Jules." Frankie said.
"I think it's time to head out, guys." Ed said as he got up and turned the lights back on. The team filed out of the room leaving a baffled Jules behind.
"So," Sam said as he saw Jules walk through the front door. "What did the team say?"
"Black and blue." Jules mumbled.
"I don't see why you're worrying about it. It's just a picture of a dress." Sam said.
"I'm going to go upstairs and take a nap." Jules walked towards the stairs.
"Ed and Spike came by and went upstairs for some reason. I don't know what they did but they told me not to go up there. Just be careful." Sam warned her.
Jules groaned in reply and walked up. She walked over to the bedroom door and opened it. Jules gasped at the sight of the room. The walls were covered in pictures of the blue and black dress.
"Sam!"
I saw white and gold, but most of my friends saw blue and black. Whatever though, it's only a dress. There's probably a few grammar mistakes in there, but if there isn't, then there just isn't any.
