They were sharing a bed together this weekend, because campaigns meant a lack of rooms. And if CJ was honest, Toby would be a better roommate than Sam or Josh.
It had been a late night, so she'd gone to bed almost as soon as they got to the hotel. Toby on the other hand had stayed in the bar with Josh and Sam.
CJ was deep in slumber when Toby arrived back at their room.
"Hey." He muttered softly as he entered, noticing her sleeping form.
Removing his jacket and tie, he moved to where she lay and watched her peaceful face. He continued to undress before throwing on a t-shirt with his boxers, slipping into the covers beside her.
Toby nudged her gently to make room, as she had a tendency to sprawl when she slept. He didn't know if it was the scotches he had consumed, but an overwhelming realisation of her beauty hit him, and he slipped his arms around her waist, rolling her onto her side in his arms.
She stirred only slightly at his presence, incoherently mumbling before she felt his hands across her stomach, his comforting warmth nestled behind her. "Toby?"
"Hi," He whispered into her shoulder, "go back to sleep."
Any response was interrupted as she fell back asleep, Toby following her into a state of drowsiness.
The next morning, CJ awoke with a sense of disorientation as she remembered Toby as being the one whose arms she was in. It was oddly relaxing cuddling with him and she was about to turn and face him when she felt his hands creep higher up her chest and onto her breasts, lightly squeezing.
"Toby!" she gasped, but he simply hummed into her neck and continued the exploration, his fingers soft and eliciting a low growl from her.
"What has gotten into you?" she muttered, settling into his embrace and still occasionally moaning at his touch.
"Nothing." He uttered rather seductively and she positively groaned to feel his erection pressing into her back, how had she not noticed that first?
CJ shifted, smirking as he moaned with the loss of contact. "What are you doing, Ziegler?"
"You're really hot first thing, you know that?" he grumbled and she met his mouth instantly, a slow kiss.
Her hands moved to cup his face, his moving back around her waist; craving the heat of bodies and the soft taste of their lips on each other's.
Continuing to make out, she brought her leg around his waist, clinging and bringing them even closer.
His hands rubbed her back, hugging her close, and she brought her own into his hair, lightly playing with his dark curls.
Breathlessly she pulled away a few minutes later and gazed into his eyes, full with passion. "Well, good morning."
"Good morning, CJ." His lips curved upwards into a small smile with his continued hugging of her waist.
"We're going to be late." She told him, shifting out of his embrace.
"Yeah…" he muttered, half whining and followed her in the routine of getting ready for the day.
She walked down to breakfast with the others a short while later, still in disbelief of her morning's events.
It wasn't like Toby to spontaneously send her into desire like this, especially not since his marriage. The fact he was separated from Andi now seemed to make no difference to her outlook of him, only until this moment.
CJ has always assumed he still wanted Andi back, so why was he feeling up her and making out with her instead?
It was never to be admitted in her brain that she was attracted to him; they'd been briefly involved years prior, yes, but that was before she'd gone to LA and he'd gone and met Andi in DC. They never had considered re-opening that door once his marriage broke down. Why now?
Impulsive Toby was a turn-on, it had to be said, and as she watched him trail into the room with Sam, she soon realised it would be a long day given how amorous she already felt and it was only 7am.
Maybe his eagerness would go a step further tonight? Being roommates was appearing already to have more perks than she could've imagined yesterday.
