I tried to ignore the pain of being forced to the hard flooring of the abandoned hospital.

"Jay, give me the knife!" the man holding me down yelled.

"I'm not giving you the knife, Tim," the one called Jay denied the man known as Tim.

"Who are you?" Tim asked.

"You could have asked me that before tackling me, you fucking psychopath!"

"Tim, just let him go!"

"Not until he tells us who he is and who sent him!"

"Nobody sent me. I came here because my friend disappeared about a month ago and I was just looking for him," I explained. "And how the hell can I trust you enough to give you my name?"

"This isn't getting us anywhere!" Jay dragged Tim off of me.

"Thanks." I turned, and there it was: the tall man standing just at the exit. "It's him!"

"Run! Fucking run!" Tim screamed before going into a fit of coughing.

I picked up my camera and we all ran to the other side of the building.

"I know a place we can hide! Follow me!" Jay yelled.

Jay, Tim and I arrived at the beginning of a maintenence tunnel. "Are we going down there?" I asked.

"That's the idea," Jay answered as he jumped into the tunnel and gestured us to follow him.

After reaching the end of the tunnel, we all sat in silence, fearing the Operator may still be in the area. Several minutes passed until one of us decided to break the silence.

"Now, could you just please give us your name?" Jay asked.

"Alright, fine. My name is Alex Schlanker. About a month ago, my friend James disappeared. I started looking for him but couldn't find anything. One day, I went to his house to see if there was anything there I could use to find him. But then I caught the eye of the fucker that was just after us. Later, I remembered that he owned a cabin somewhere in this area, so I went looking for it. When I got there, I saw that the place was completely empty...and then, I remembered this hospital. I passed by it on the way to the cabin and I came back to see if I could make any connections. But all I found that was unusual was the writing on the walls."

"I have just one question for you, Alex. Can we trust you?" Tim asked.

"That is a stupid question. Of course you can trust me. I'm not going to fuck over people I barely know."

"We should probably wait a while before we leave. What should we do until then?" Jay asked.

"Do you guys want to play cards?" I asked, pulling a deck of cards out of my bag.

"Sure," Jay said.

"Okay," Tim said.
