"Why can't dreams become true reality? I dream now of a time where piracy was a way of life. Where the covetous, strong, and tactful devised ways of getting what they wanted at the expense of the destruction of others. Yet it was time of adventure, from day to day living on the sea receiving the unexpected…why wasn't I born at a time like that? Of course it was time of fear and terrible decease, and I would like to avoid getting sick. So what if that time was brought into conjunction with this time?

Do you believe in time travel? Do you believe in the unbelievable? I know people say it's impossible every single day but what gives them the right? I figure, if a book can take your imagination to distant lands and fantasy places, why can't one do the same physically?

Well believe it or not I'm there right now…taken to a place far away, a place where these people really exist and they see me, and I can see them. However I must discover what I am in this time and why I have been chosen to do this miraculous thing . . .

I'm Kayra Regan McConikie . . . And do you believe in the power of the imagination?"

Kayra Regan: Seventeen year old. Short styled brown hair, naturally beautiful, deep blue eyes, dark brown skin. Often found with her face buried in a book of some kind or a computer screen. Talks of logic and rational things, nothing more.

Kyle Powell: Twelve year kid, Dusty brown hair, sparkly blue green eyes. Vows to use his imagination in anything he does. You can find him, day dreaming, or trying new things.

Kyle ran through the apartment at full speed hoping that no one would catch the excitement in his eyes. "Watch it Squidget mom just moped the floor." Regan shouted just as Kyle slid across the floor and collided with the refrigerator. "Told ya!"

"Don't gloat it's not becoming of you."

"Oh becoming, that's exactly what I want." Regan laughed as she dropped to the couch with a sandwich in her hands. "What's all the excitement?"

"No excitement," Kyle sputtered, digging for anything in the fridge. "Just hungry."

"That's not hunger." Regan laughed "That's the light in your eyes you get when you've got something devious up your sleeves. What'cha got? A plan for world domination?"

"Right, try something more realistic."

"Realistic didn't know you were into that!" Regan laughed "Why don't you try reading a text book or something for a change."

"Oh yes please homework on a nice summer day! Not to mention my new book arrived at the library today it's the third book in the series…"

"Oh oh let me guess, the I can't get a life Merlin series?"

"No," He pulled a bottle of Chocolate Milk from the cool fridge and slammed the door shut. "The I can't get my sister to enjoy life, enchanted forest series! Seriously Regan, use your imagination for a change your missing out on some serious childhood days."

"I found something more to my liking."

"What's that, a cure to cancer?"

"Close, the out breaking of the plague."

"Fascinating!"

"I think so," Kyle slipped on his shoes and headed out the door, "be back at 11:00 Mom and Dad will be back for lunch."

"Back for lunch? Don't they have jobs that require them twenty-four seven?"

"Yes they do, but turns out they got a call from the librarian and realized they needed to keep a closer eye on you incase you should need psychiatric help."

"I'll keep that in mind when I'm the one enjoying the padded walls in the asylum." With that Kyle closed the door leaving Regan in the apartment alone, with a slight smirk she continued to read her history book.

Kyle ran down the sidewalk, obviously very excited to get to the library.
