Not many people knew that Harry was abused, even fewer cared. Harry sat in his cupboard where the Dursley's deemed was his rightful place after they found out that Sirius Black was no longer a problem. Listening to the Muggle CD player that Dudley had discarded some weeks ago the Boy-Who-Lived listened to the only track on the CD within the player.
Nobody knows what she's holding back
Wearing the same dress she wore yesterday
Harry was shocked as what was happing to this girl in the song was so much like him.
The teacher wonders but she doesn't ask
It's hard to see the pain behind the mask
Bearin' the burden of a secret storm
Sometimes she wishes she was never born
Through tha wind and the rain
She stands hard a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flys to a place
Where she's loved
Concrete Angel
Tears were making their way down Harry's face as the thunderous foot-steps of one Vernon Dursley stomped toward the cupboard. The door was ripped off it's hinges as the tall, whale of a man pulled Harry out and into the hallway.
There he proceeded to torture, and beat Harry, not noticing that the CD player playing in the open cupboard behind the boy.
Somebody cries in the middle of the night
The neighbors hear but they turn out the light
A fragile soul caught in the hands of fate
When morning comes it'll be to late
Harry's cries where heard all over the neighborhood but the children who heard his cries were to scared of Dudley to do anything .
Through tha wind and the rain
She stands hard a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flys to a place
Where she's loved
Concrete Angel
Tossing the battered, broken body of the Savior of the Wizarding world back into the cupboard, Vernon turned and grinned at his wife, ignoring the blood on his hands and clothes. He walked away from the newly locked cupboard and the dead body, not hearing the song playing softly but unseeing green eyes.
A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot
Through tha wind and the rain
She stands hard a stone
In a world that she can't rise above
But her dreams give her wings
And she flys to a place
Where she's loved
Concrete Angel
