Rosalie's POV

Bella sat on Edward's lap, clearly bored. Alice had Jasper's head on her lap while Jasper was lying down. Emmett was upstairs playing the new video game he got for Christmas. I paced back and forth.

"Where are they?" I asked for the millionth time. Everyone sighed…………. For the millionth time,

"When they come home, I'll, I'll, kick that mutt's butt all the way to China!" I said, annoyed. Jacob had taken Nessie to the park to play. They where to come home before 8 pm. It was now 9:30.

Then, we heard a knock on the door. We rushed to it, clearly impatiently. I threw it open to see a very happy Nessie. Her grin was so wide, it vould crack any second.

I suspiciously narrowed my eyes at her.

"What are you so happy about?" I asked.

"I'll tell you in the living room!" We walked to the living room and sat down.

Jacob's POV

Nessie told us the big news.

"Jacob asked me out and I said yes!" Everyone turned their heads toward me blankly. Rosalie asked me in a bitterly-sweet manner, "Jacob. Please come with me."

I got up and followed Rosalie into the hallway. I looked at her expectantly.

"Never. Ever. Go near her again. If you do, I will rip you to shreds. Do you understand?" She told me quietly and slowly yet warning.

"No way! I love her! You cant keep us apart!" I whisper- yelled.

Rosalie raised her voice. "You bet I can!"

I took a deep breath to calm down. That was a bad move. First, the smell, second, that made her madder.

"Yes, I can!" At this point, we were yelling out loud.

"DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT TRYING!"

"OH, YEAH! I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TRY TO KEEP US APART, BLOODSUCKER!"

"MUTT!"

"LEECH!"

"DOG!"INSENSITIVE, SELFISH, DISGUSTING, RUDE, UNGRATFUL VAMPIRE!" At that point, what she said, well, yelled next, completely shocked me.

"I'M ONLY TRYING TO PROTECT HER FROM WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!"

I grew quite, looking at her.

"Your only trying to protect her?"

"What do you think I'm trying to do?" She scoffed.

"I donna know." I said pitifully. I felt bad about yelling at her.

"I'm sorry. About everything."

She looked up at me surprised. "Your sorry.? I'm the one who should be apologizing. It's just I see her as my own daughter I never had. I'm afraid to loose that."

I stared at her thoughtfully. What came next out of my own mouth, just came."For a bloodsucker, you may not be so bad." Rosalie smiled.

"Thanks."

I breathed a sigh of relief, to find that there was no vampire smell, yet Rosalie was still standing next to me. I'm guessing her face mirrored mine.

"You don't smell like dog, dog."

"You don't smell like a vamp either?" We looked at each other, realizing what had happened.

As the bond between enemies grew and the rage grew weaker, the things that kept a bond apart grew weaker as well. At this time, the rage fell apart, and so did those things.

Rosalie and I walked back in the room, both smiling wildly.

"What are you two grinning about?" Bella asked.

"Breath in." Jacob and I said. Everyone took a deep breath.
