Here is a one-shot I did based off the song Signal Fire by Snow Patrol. Its kind of mushy romantic and sort of AU because of Sam and Danny getting together earlier then the series did. I would like to thank my editor Jason! I do not own Danny Phantom.
Signal Fire
I was fighting Vlad and losing. He hits me, and I fall to the hard concrete. I turn my head to see you, standing there with a worried expression on your face. It gives me the will to get back up and fly. I hit Vlad with all my power, my ghostly wail. He falls, and I beat him, but not without it taking a toll out on me. I fall next, this time to be caught in your safe arms.
I look up to see your raven black hair fall into your crystal-like amethyst eyes. I look into them to see what I always see, hope with a little bit of rebellion. You speak to me, your voice like a sweet melody. I respond to your question in an incoherent babble, you still laugh, showing your pearl white teeth, a rarity to be seen, but a blessing every time.
You help me up with your strong arms, I apologize for having you stay and help me. You don't care, you never did, but I still feel guilt for dragging you down this path. I look at you on the way home, I wanted to tell you, you're beautiful, but I never had the guts to. I always stop myself.
We reach the porch to my house. The moon is high, and the sky is clear. The light of the moon radiates against your alabaster skin, and the stars shine in your eyes. The stars are not the only thing sparkling in your eyes. I see longing.
I should go for it; I know you love me too. We both see it, but we've been blinded by the fear of rejection. I want to do it. I need you, want you. You were always there for me through thick and thin. The ghost and the Goth. I don't want to wait any longer.
So I reach out. I touch your velvet hands, and kiss your amethyst lips. For a second you tense, but then you accept the kiss. We fall into each other; we share our passions for each other. We pull back, and I ask if you felt the same. You said yes. We kissed again, and I know it won't be the last.
