Lee: And the Sea
Rock Lee loved the sea. Why? For many reasons.
For one, it reminded him of his beloved teacher, Maito Gai. Oh, it was sheer joy to watch the sea, with tears streaming down his cheeks, with Gai-sensei.
Maybe it reminded Lee of himself, too. Every time the waves reached up high with all it's might, they were pulled down again.
Very much like Lee.
But every time the waves fell, they rose once more to try again.
Like Lee. He was forever trying to defeat Hyuuga Neji. But he failed each time.
Maybe the sea was trying to surpass the sky. It seemed to Lee like an impossible task.
Was defeating Neji impossible?
Lee was the sea, and Neji the sky. Neji was simply forever above Lee-- and the sky was simply forever above Lee.
Or was it?
Rock Lee loved the earth, too. Why? For many, many reasons…
