Our escape craft shook, and we realized that we had been saved. Someone was carrying us.

The hatch opened, and one by one people got out. Mother helped me through, ever thankful for zero-gravity.

We're on a battleship, she had said.

It turned out that the battleship was from the Earth Alliance. The people on board were really nice to me, especially the boy who saved us.

When we arrived at this big icecap-like place, we were all very happy. We could have water again!

Then we found out that it was Junius Seven. Most said forget it. I didn't care either way.

When one of the crew, a girl named Miriallia, came and asked me if I wanted to help create paper flowers to honor those who died. I said yes. It was a lot of fun teaching teenagers how to make paper flowers.

About a month later, we found out that we would be going home. Before I got on the shuttle, I ran up to the boy, help out a paper flower, and said "Thank you for protecting us until now."

He took it and smiled. I floated back over to my mother, happy that I had done that for him.

As our shuttle entered Earth's atmosphere, I looked out and saw our protector in his mobile suit, protecting us.

I glanced upwards and saw another mobile suit point their gun right at us! Our protector couldn't get there in time.

I saw flames, heard screams, and felt immense pain. Then, nothing.
