Note: This is set after XANA is beaten.

Aelita stared at the building in front of her.

'So this is the place,huh?'

She took a deep breathe and walked up the stairs, on her way to the entrance exam for duel academy.

Why was she here anyways? Well...

(Flashback)

"Aelita, Come on!" Odd shouted at his pink haired friend, who lagged a little ways behind him.

"Slow down Odd" She called in response. She had to wonder: Why did Odd ask her to come, when there must've been someone else who would've been much more interested in this thing. Namely someone like Ulrich. Yet Odd asked her to the duel monsters tournament. She had never heard of the game though, and she was curious.

When they arrived and got settled, Aelita looking around. The area was packed, and noisy.

'Well duh, lot of people meant lots of noise'

As the duel started, Aelita stared fascinated. Odd explained the rules to her, and Aelita decided, that some time soon she wanted to try.

Odd agreed to help her put together a deck if she really wanted to. Aelita wasn't even sure she wanted to play, and not just watch, but hey, why not try it out?

(End Flashback)

And this lead here. Aelita had fallen in love with the game. She learned fast, and was able to beat Odd in no time. She started challenging other kids around school, among these were Ulrich(He does play, Aelita still wonders why he didn't go with Odd that day.) and Hiroki. Admittedly, she barely won, the first time, but her spellcaster deck pulled through for her.

The next time a community contest was held, Aelita, accompanied by Odd and Ulrich. She came in 2nd place, losing to Steve Lyon. He was a 7th grader at Kadic. They became Rivals.

Aelita shook her head to clear the memories and walked in. She was a bit later than Ulrich and Odd, who were also taking the entrance exam. If they won this, it would be a new adventure for them.

A/N: Well this is pathetic. Better than the old one, but pathetic. Oh well, read, review, and don't flame. Flames will be used to cook marshmellows.
