Fluffy Klaine drabbles are apparently my thing. Let's just go with it.
This was inspired by that promo picture from Asian F, where Klaine are under the bleachers (I assume) and Blaine is holding a bunch of flowers. This is the scene that popped into my head after seeing that lovely picture. It probably won't turn out anything like this in the actual episode, but never mind.
Anyway, reviews are very much equal to Klaine Love, so chuck some at me.
And I don't own Glee. If I did, Blaine would be a bloody senior. Because that would make sense.
Congratulatory Flowers
"So why did you want me to meet you under the bleachers?"
Kurt produced from behind his back a bouquet of red and yellow roses. Blaine smiled.
"Flowers," he said. "How romantic."
"Actually they're congratulatory," said Kurt. "Well done on getting the male lead in West Side Story. You'll make a wonderful Tony."
Blaine's smile faltered as he accepted his boyfriend's gift Kurt's kind words had sounded rather begrudging.
"I wasn't going to accept the part," said Blaine. "I know that's the part you wanted and your audition for it was so amazing..."
Kurt sighed and sat down on one of the new couches Ms. Sylvester had given the Skanks to smoke on.
"Yes, my audition was amazing," he said. "Out of this world, in fact. But I'm not right for the part. I'm not... leading man material."
Blaine frowned. "Kurt, you're perfect for the role."
"No, I'm not," Kurt stressed "You are perfect for the role, and it would be selfish of me to let you give it up. I don't think there are any roles I'm perfect for... except maybe Ernst in Spring Awakening. Or pretty much any of the main characters in Pricilla; Queen of the Desert. But I'm not a leading man."
A tear rolled down Kurt's cheek and he impatiently wiped it away. The fact that he's already started crying only validated his argument, as far as he was concerned. Blaine looked at him sadly and sat beside his boyfriend, placing the bouquet of flowers on his own lap.
"Kurt, you are the more talented person I have ever met."
Kurt scoffed, shaking his head. "You have to say that. You're my boyfriend."
"I'm not just saying it to be nice. You're incredibly talented, Kurt. And even if you don't get into the very best college – and I'm not saying you won't," he added hastily after the look on Kurt's face. "But even if you didn't, it wouldn't stop you from making it. Talent like yours can stand on its own. It doesn't need to be held up by some fancy school."
Kurt smiled a little bit as Blaine put his arm around his waist.
"Out of everyone in Glee Club," said Blaine. "Including myself, you're the one that I can genuinely imagine making it and becoming a star, because you're already a star. There's no in the world like you."
Kurt's tears once again escaped before he could stop them, and Blaine reached over to wipe them away with his thumb.
"I'll tell Artie and Ms Pilsbury and Coach Beiste that I'll accept the part," he said gently. "But only on the condition that you are my understudy."
"But you don't need an understudy," said Kurt.
"Yes, I do," Blaine insisted. "And if I had my way, I'd be your understudy, but that can't be helped. You're totally leading man material, sweetheart. Don't let anybody tell you any different."
Kurt grinned. "I love you so much, Blaine."
Blaine gave his boyfriend a little squeeze. "I love you too."
Kurt cupped his boyfriend's cheek and pulled him into a sweet, soft kiss which they both smiled into. They gazed into each other's eyes for a second once they'd separated, before both standing up and walking hand in hand out from under the bleachers.
"Thanks for the flowers, by the way. They're gorgeous."
"You're welcome."
Hope you enjoyed the fluff, Humble Readers.
