Cold. Just a bit too cold. The day just before Christmas, as one would call it Christmas Eve, was a particularly cold night to be spending your time all alone this year. Yet, one person was just sitting down on a bench in the park, where in the middle of it was a huge Christmas tree. It's as if she was just there waiting for someone, though it seemed like she had preferred to be all alone at this time.

The clock in the park had now stuck 11, without any signs of her moving from her spot.

".. Nozomi?"

".. Elicchi?"

Eli had stopped in her movements, as she saw the purple-haired girl on the park's bench all alone, but with one small bag beside her. Both Eli and Nozomi had looked into the other's eyes just when their names had been spoken.

".. What are you doing here Elicchi?" Nozomi was the first one to have broken off the silence after looking at each other. ".. I should say the same to you too, Nozomi." Eli replied back after hesitating for a bit.

"Ah.. I'm just here admiring the view of the Christmas tree." Nozomi had told her without looking at her, as her gaze was now on the tree.

"Isn't it cold out here.. All alone?" Staring at Nozomi then slowly at where she was looking, she had said. ".. Not really."

"Though you didn't answer yet Elicchi. What are you doing here?"

"I was just out to buy a Christmas present." Eli answered, taking a chance to sit down right next to Nozomi afterwards. "Ah.. Is it for Arisa or someone else?" Nozomi questioned, and if one had looked into her eyes at that time, they may have seen the sadness and loneliest expression she was making, though it had been dismissed quickly enough for Eli not to see it.

"Actually, neither of what you had just said," Eli spoke up, with Nozomi showing a confused expression. "It's actually for you." Finishing her sentence off, Eli now had a faint blush on her cheek and a gentle smile on her.

"Though I want to ask that too, what is that bag beside you?"

"Ah. It's your present too." Nozomi said with her usual teasing tone and grin.

After that, the two had stayed quiet. "Here." Nozomi had gave Eli the bag that was beside her the whole time. With Eli not being so surprised, did the same thing too.

The two had now opened their presents from each other. From Eli was a hand-made scarf given to Nozomi, while Nozomi had presented to her a small photo album and a scarf too. Looking at both scarfs they presented to each other, the two had just giggled at the thought.

"Maybe it won't be that cold anymore.." Nozomi had mumbled with Eli almost hearing what she had said. "Hm..?"

Nozomi had just shook her head and leaned onto Eli's shoulder. Though Eli didn't mind, and scooted closer to her and felt that she was really cold. Taking action, Eli had took the scarf she made for Nozomi and wrapped it around them.

"Is it warmer now?" Nozomi had replied with a "Mmn." And decided to hold her and Eli's hand together, with their fingers intertwined together.

For the rest of their Christmas Eve, neither had spoken a word, nor had any intention of leaving the latter's presence.

So just maybe waiting out in the cold just a bit longer wasn't a bad idea. Nozomi thought, closing her eyes just to appreciate the warmth that she both loves and misses, with the thought that she isn't all alone now.

A/N: Well, you would have thought that I would be really lazy just to write. X3 oh well. And with writing fluff I wanted to test this writing style just for once at least.

Um.. Review and comment?
