Pancake Breakfasts
Some days, Clint hates breakfast. Namely, the days they have pancakes. It's not the pancakes, no. They're delicious, actually; nothing like the free breakfast pancakes at some of the various crap-hole hotels he's been at over the years. No, the pancakes themselves are close to heavenly for Clint, and so is the bacon that's always served with them. Then, one day, during suck a pancake breakfast, Tony and Bruce united to declare to Coulson that sausage needed to be served along with the pancakes and bacon. ("It's injustice! Injustice!") AKA, the morning they helped ruined Clint's life.
As promised, the sausages showed up during the very next pancake breakfast. They'd all pretty much finished eating, only Cap still keeping up his way of slowly working at pancake after pancake, the rest of them idly munching at the occasional orange slice or bacon strip. Clint had been in the midst of the description of an epic space battle with Bruce and Tony while Steve watched them in amusement. It was then that he felt Natasha's eyes boring into him, trying for his attention. It was about five minutes before they took out the enemy space station and he finally turned to look at her.
That was his mistake. He'd grabbed his milk to take a sip as he made eye contact with her... Just to spit it out and nearly drop his glass when he saw her staring at him, gently sucking at a sausage between her lips, batting long eyelashes innocently, yet oh-so-seductively in his direction. It only took a couple seconds for all this to transpire and by the time the others followed his gaze to her after noticing him frozen in astonishment, she had starting chewing the sausage and removed all the evidence, looking completely innocent and altogether casual.
"What?" She asked nonchalantly, getting up to clear her plate.
Clint sat frozen for another couple minutes after watching her leave the room, hips swaying as she walked. Finally coming to his senses, he jumped up to clear his plate and nearly ran out after her.
Even the next few times they found themselves in bed after a pancake breakfast, Natasha always denies any of Clint's accusations concerning sausages and seduction.
So, yeah, Clint has really come to hate pancake breakfasts.
Especially because he knows she does it on purpose.
