"Oh Master – we have brought you back, and..."
He yawned and sighed, sitting up from the coffin he had awoken in. He glanced around at the dark room, taking in the smoke and fires, and the smell of blood in the air. He sighed again and looked down at the man kneeling beside the coffin as he stepped out.
"What have you done?"
"We have brought you back and -"
"Did it cross your mind that perhaps I did not desire that?" He waited for an answer, and the silence was telling enough. "Kindly take yourself off from here and pester some other soul or body – perhaps there is someone else you would like to resurrect."
The man looked away.
"Oh? You have, haven't you."
"...They all said to leave them alone."
A smile pulled at the elder's lips. "And you didn't learn your lesson – pity. What brought you to the erroneous conclusion that I would hold a different opinion?"
"Because you're the oldest – the king! You want to rule – to dominate all-"
He sighed, holding up a hand to stop the monologue before it proceeded any further. "Enough. Have you a telephone?"
The man nodded, pointing to an office behind a red tapestry.
"Thank you. Now..." He stalked towards the man menacingly, "Come not back and do not attempt this again, lest you feel a king's wrath!"
The man nodded rapidly in terror and hastily retreated, knocking over a lamp as he went. The elder shook his head in exasperation and made his way towards the office. Connecting the telephone to the line, he dialed a random number and waited for the call to be picked up.
"...Hello?"
"Hello, Doctor."
There was silence on the other end, and then a sigh. "May I assume that someone thought it wise to bring you back?"
"Yes – and there have been others?"
There was a groan. "Yes. At the most inopportune times as well. It is quite good that there is no evidence after the fact or you would need to find another person to use."
"My apologies – but at the same place?"
"Of course – I shall be there within the hour."
"Thank you – and Doctor? Please finish it better – I truly do not fancy returning."
AN: Paradoxical – and I am truly sorry. Supposed to be Van Helsing and Dracula after another person brings him back from the dead (So I was reading interviews of Lee and it messed up my mental voice – sorry...) - but it's a bit off. And I think the mental scenery came from the novelisation of the film Young Sherlock Holmes. I am quite sorry. Thank you for putting up with this drivel, and God bless you! 6-3-2015
