"Hey Kate?" asked Tony as he and Kate were putting there things together to go home for the weekend.

"Ya Tony?"

"Were you there, I mean with the president when the whole thing happened?" he asked.

"You mean on the eleventh?" she asked.

"Ya, I mean what was it like?"

She remembered that Tuesday only three years ago.

"Rosefern, do you have president on air force one?" asked Baer.

"Yes sir, we're safe on this end." she answered back.

"Good, are you watching it?"

"Yes, my Mom works in tower two."

"There evacuating that one right now, she'll be ok."

"Thanks."

"It was hard." she answered, and then walked out of the bullpen.

--------------

Kate slowly sat down on her bed, a small box in her hand. She slowly lifted the top off of the box, pulling out a small-framed picture.

The two smiling faces that she was looking at brought back all the memories of her and her mother.

The fun times when she was a young girl, the great shopping trips to the mall when she was teenager, and the wonderful talks they had once shared as she was a grown woman.

A few tears escaped from her eyes as she remembered the last time she had talked to her mother.

"Honey please be careful, I don't need you to get hurt."

"Mom, I'm fine. My job isn't really that dangerous."

"Well, still be careful. I love you."

"I love you too Mom."

The tears flowed down from her face and onto the picture.

She had tried to forget about it, put it in her past, but she couldn't forget that one Tuesday morning.

"We just got news that the second tower has been hit." announced the ZNN reporter.

Pictures of the two burning buildings appeared on the television screen.

"Kate, you ok?" asked one of the other Secret Service Agents.

"My Mom works in the second tower." she answered, fighting back the urge to brake down in tears.

"Kate, they've been evacuating the second tower since the first one was hit. I'm sure she's fine."

Thinking about it was too much, the tears streamed down her face. This was her chance to brake down in tears, this was her chance to remember.
