Hey guys! This is my first fanfic so if you have any ideas or suggestions please PM me. Don't forget to review! One- shot!
"Potter!" Lily Evans screamed, running down into the common room. She found him sitting in one of her favorite chairs, smiling smugly at her purple-covered body.
"What is it, Lily-flower?" He said in a cocky voice.
"What do you think it is?" Lily said, trembling with rage. "How dare you charm my perfume to make me purple? You know I have that date tonight!"
James' smug grin wavered when she mentioned the date. But he quickly recovered, saying, "It must have slipped my mind. Would you rather go on a date with me instead? I don't mind that you look like you had a rather nasty grape juice accident."
Lily threw her hands in the air, exasperated. "When will you finally realize that I will not ever go out with you! You are an arrogant toe rag that needs to get an ego check before your head explodes!"
James looked at the fireplace, not responding. Lily suddenly felt guilty. As arrogant as Potter was, lately he's been backing out of arguments, as if he knew he wasn't going to win. "Honestly, Potter, why do you think I would want to go out with you?" Lily said. " You have in no way indicated that you fancy me other than asking me out constantly. You have to much fun pestering me and making me miserable".
James looked at her, with a look on his face that Lily has seen only once, when she agreed to be James' friend, which quickly ended soon. "But that's how every boy tells a girl they love her."
Love? Where did LOVE come from?
"You don't mean that, Potter. You don't love me."
James stood up quickly and strode over to Lily. She was mesmerized by his eyes, brown and gentle and caring. "But I do", he says. "I have ever since I saw you on the train, in the first year. Maybe I wasn't so sure then, but I am now. I love you Lily Evans." He took her face in his hands and kissed her gently. Her first instinct was to pull away, but she fought it, because she's never been kissed like this, and it felt so right. She was hesitant at first, but then she kissed him back, and soon she was out of breath. She pulled away, and gave James a small smile.
"I love you", he repeated.
Maybe she'd known it all along.
"I love you too."
Good? Bad? Review, it's my first one, I could use advice!
