A/N: This one barely qualifies as a scene, much less a story. It's just a tiny drabble born out of a conversation Sasha1600 and I had. She thought I should share so I am. It's just a quick snippet, and I have no plans to expand it. It won't make sense unless you've read Temper, Temper first.
Gibbs fished the phone from his pocket, frowning at the unappreciated intrusion. He flipped it open with his thumb and spared a quick glance at the display. What he saw there had his frown melting into a smile. "Hey, kid, how's it going?"
Leigh groaned. "Drills, drills and more drills. I could do them in my sleep at this point."
"This from the child who refused to do her math assignment because she already knew how to do the work," Gibbs said dryly.
"My teacher wasn't a Marine. My DI is," Leigh replied.
Gibbs laughed. He wasn't at all surprised that six months at the Naval Academy had changed her opinion. "That makes a difference, does it?"
"It always has," Leigh told him. The only answer she got was Gibbs exploding in laughter.
