A/N: So this is really random. It's angsty, of course. It just kind of came to me in English class. We were reading The Crucible, and I just though of it. Thoughts would be appreciated! Review!
She was waiting for him.
He promised to be home two hours ago.
It was just so like Shane to mosey on in whenever he pleased. Mitchie was sick of it.
But she kept waiting, because she loved him.
Although, she wasn't entirely sure he returned the feeling. Not anymore, anyways.
She stiffened in her seat. She knew what she was getting when she married a popstar.
She fiddled with the ring that draped over her finger. It reminded Mitchie of when times were good.
But that was a long time ago.
S&M
He never came.
She waited on the bed. Tossing and turning, just waiting for him to walk through the door.
Did he forget?
It stung Mitchie when she realized he wasn't coming.
When did she realize it?
When the doorbell rang. Shane wasn't behind it.
S&M
She can't say she didn't expect it.
She just wished her nightmare hadn't come true.
She couldn't go see him. That was just too hard.
Instead, she sat and waited for the storm to pass over.
Maybe this was all a bad dream.
S&M
It wasn't.
His casket was black.
It matched his beautiful raven colored hair.
Condolences didn't help Mitchie.
Instead, she stood in the back, trying to remain anonymous.
At her husband's funeral.
Pathetic, right?
She just waited until the service was over, trying not to be a weeping widow.
It didn't work.
S&M
She went to visit him alone.
She sat by his grave, just wanting to be near him.
A single red rose. Mitchie held it in her hands.
"For you." She whispered quietly, "For us."
And now it was Shane's turn to wait.
A/N: Um, yeah. Really random. I hoped you guys liked it though. It was just something different I'm trying out. Thoughts would be appreciated!
Please review!
