ZOMBIE LAND: Fanfiction

Carters P.O.V.

Man, this place had gone to hell, and here I was, stuck in the middle of this mess. I sighed shooting another Zombie. The place looked empty, but never be fooled by the silence.

"COME ON!" I yelled. "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? COME AND GET IT! FRESH MEAT!"

I heard the scuffling of their feet, and their yells of hunger. Never ending hunger. Around ten more zombies came in from the opposite sides of me. I aimed my hand-guns at each crows and shot some zombies, until they were all dead. You might ask me, how do you kill a dead person? Well how should I know?

I was one of the last people here, in this fucked up, mind-twisting place. It didn't matter, I didn't care about much. If one of my loved ones were dead, I wouldn't care, because I didn't have any. My mom was an alcoholic, and tried to drink in drive, in my opinion, it served her right. She was never a mother anyways. My dad was in the Navy, people die in the Navy. I barely knew him anyways.

I walked into one of the nearby shops, and I banged on the door, waiting for zombies to come out. Two fat ones came out, they were easy to shoot, and then a few skinny ones. I shot them too. Poor customers should have carried some pepper spray.

I walked around the shop. "Oh, chips, why not snack a little? I think I should get some apples to, and then I'll be off." I muttered to myself. So I got my Chips and Carrots, and an apple for a little healthy treat. It was important to stay healthy here in hell.

I was prepared to walk out of the shop before I heard, "How did you survive?" It was a girl, young I supposed.

I turned around, "With guns, and an awful lot of running." I looked at the girl, she was young. In fact, she looked really young. "How old are you?"

"I'm ten, how old are you?"

Woah, did she say ten? Suddenly the way I survived didn't mean a lot compared to this girl. "I'm S-seventeen." I stuttered. "Mind if I ask you how you're still alive?"

She smiled and said, "With an Ak-47 and the ability to hide in small, where zombies can't get me."

This girl was an impressive. "You know how to handle a gun?"

"I kept myself alive this long, so what do you think?"

"I um, that's uhh…" I stuttered trying to find the right word.

"Amazing, I'm aware." She started to walk away.

"Hey!" I called, "Where are you going?"

"You can't create bonds in this place." She said.

"We could be stronger together." I told her, she couldn't walk away. I needed another fighter on my side.

"Can you take me to California?" She asked.

"Why?" I asked her.

"Because I might have family there, but I can't be sure until I get there." She told me.

"I could. I have a car." I told her.

"Then I'll stay for a while but keep in mind, if I seem a little heartless, don't worry. It's just survival." She said.

I could tell I was taking a long road trip. Florida to California, it's just a good thing gas prices have gone down.
