The rumbling growl of a distant storm echoed over the lake and castle. The sun, reflected off the water, momentarily blinded the few students who happed to peer out the windows to watch the approaching dark clouds. However, one student was not blinded by the bright reflected light. She had the sense to put on her sunglasses. She also had the sense to put on her winter cloak, scarf, and mittens. A Blindzard was on the move and Luna Lovegood was the only one who knew.

The Blindzard flew over the bright green mountains, but he did not see them as he was engulfed in his blue-black cloud that his grandmother made for him when he was born. His stomach rumbled. He had not eaten in many years. In fact, he could not remember the last time he had eaten. It might have been during World War I, but more than likely during the Cromwellian Wars. Yet, he still remembered the scent of the sun reflecting off fresh water and could smell it in the distance. It was just a little farther.

Luna sat down at the Ravenclaw table for lunch. A handful of students walked by.

"Oi, Loony. You do know it's June already."

"Yeah. Winter's over."

Luna calmly let them know that they should also prepare for the coming of the Blindzard. They did not listen.

Outside, the reflective surface of the Hogwarts Lake was slowly freezing over.
