This is for DA. I'm trying to get rid of my writer's block that I received in return for uploading Calling All Angels Ch2. So it's tiny and small and really just a petite drabble. but enjoy it none the less
For String-of-Fated-Love
Pocketful of Sunshine(Natasha Bedingfield) – Sora Riku – Summer, Cave, Sunshine
All Mine
The sun sits high up in the middle of the clear, azure sky, signaling noon. It's a perfect summer afternoon, a day anyone would wish for. However, I stand alone at the edge of the shore, right where the water stretches to reach my toes, as they curl into the sand. The glimmering surface shines like that of the eyes of my love's. I'm not sure he returns, the love I give him, in the same form, but I'll take what I can get at this point.
My zipped up, yellow vest flutters in the breeze, that carries those cotton ball clouds as well. The khaki shorts I wear, swish as I walk to my rowboat.
I need to get away. Away from these people and to a place that I can be safe in. The place I can confess everything to, yet it doesn't judge me in the least.
The rays of sunshine beat down on me, as I work the muscles, that pump the oars and throw the boat closer to my sanctuary. None of my friends come here anymore. We're all too "grown-up" to be playing here anymore. They say we should leave it for the next generation, and I feel selfish for wanting to keep it too myself.
I tie my small boat to the dock and climb the few steps, that lead to the walkway. Any other person would go to the ladder, which goes to the deck, but I know where I need to go. Striding past the steady stream of water coming from the mouth of the crevice in the rock wall, I smile to myself. The water splashes up at my bare ankles, ever so gently, and I don't spare a single glance back toward the rim of the island.
Coming to the "dead end" of this path, I smirk to myself. Everyone was afraid of this place, afraid of how dark it is in here. They don't know the true beauty in there.
I push back the vegetation concealing the entrance, that I've slowly been getting to tall for. Getting down on my hands and knees, I make my way through the twists of pure rock and dirt tunnel.
Light, from hidden places, shines through, bouncing off the smooth rock and healthy trees' roots breaking through the ground. Carvings, done from rubbing smaller rocks against the larger ones, fill the room. Standing straight up, I stretch out my muscles before going to the back cubbyhole of the room. Sliding downward, I let my butt hit the gray sand. Leaning my skull against the wall, I brush my silver bangs from my eyes and flick my shoulder length hair back over my shoulder. Closing my aquamarine orbs off from the world, I let my mind drift.
I'm brought back out of my head, when cool hands press against the sides of my face. I only catch the site of cerulean, before lips are pressed against my own. He pulls away to reveal; chocolate hair the spikes every which way, shorts matching my own, except they're navy, and a white t-shirt.
"Why did you follow me Sora?"
"Because I wanted to tell you, I love you, Riku."
I run my fingers down his slightly tanned arm. "Your love is all mine?" He nods to me. "I love you too."
This will forever be our getaway. A small place to hide from the dangers of the world. A tangible way to disappear from the demands that plague our days...if only for a little while...I have his full attention all to myself. In the end, he's all mine.
